I'll never forget the day they told me.
The day my world was turned upside down. The day my heart shattered into a million pieces.
It clings onto me like a bad smell, reminding me every step of the way that he was gone and never coming back, no matter how much I wished.
I'd taken bad falls before but...this hit me harder than all of them combined times 1000. I wish could turn back the clock and do things differently, but what's done is done, and that's what hurts the most.
