"So, as I was saying, we need to find a way to raise the money for prom. This is not an option. And I think I have an idea but I don't think you guys are going to like it very much, but it might be the only way to make three grand in only two months."

"What?" I ask wearily.

She fiddles her thumbs and peeks up at us nervously.

"Well, you know how we have a lot of fans, many of whom are very wealthy. And people get really excited about the ships on the show..."

I don't think I like where this is going.

"What are you saying Carls?"

"I think we should do a new kind of segment that we've never done before...

"It's an shipping auction!" I say excitedly.

I expect them to start protesting right away because, hello, they're Sam and Freddie and they enjoy being difficult. That's not the case though.

"Um....What's a shipping auction?" Sam asks. Her face is blank with confusion.

Oh. Of course. Them being confused would naturally be the only way they wouldn't be disagreeing with me or each other.

You see, for those of you non-web stars, a shipping auction is when you auction off people who fans ship together, namely from iCarly, Freddie and me, and Freddie and Sam. My idea is that we host a shipping auction for all the popular stars, web-famous or not, that we can get a hold of that are willing to lend a helping hand and do us a favor. I have a few people who owe me in the hollywood scene. This could work out great. We might even have money left over!

So I try to explain as vaguely and logically as possible and then wait for the expected fireworks and cries of "Carly, no! You can't do this! No, no, no!"

I don't get them. It's still just complete silence.

"So...." I say, trying to get some kind of answer out of one of them.

"So....um, okay, I guess." Sam says. Freddie nods his agreement.

What? They can't seriously be agreeing, can they?

"If you want to auction off the stupidly famous on the show, go right on ahead," Freddie says, shrugging. "I don't care."

"Yeah, why would we care if you want to couple up people for random fans. There are some people I'd like to suggest actually..." Sam adds with a slight wiggle of her eyebrows.

Okay, maybe I was slightly too subtle in my explanation. I open my mouth to explain how I meant us too, but then re-close it. Maybe it's better if they don't know yet. This not screaming and yelling thing is pretty nice.

"Okay, cool," I say. "So you'll help me set it up? We won't have it for a while. We still need to advertise and find participants and get decorations and oh my god this is going to be so awesome!" I squeal and throw my arms around my best friends who I'm happily deceiving.

"Sure. Your place, after school?" Sam asks me.

"Sure," I reply nonchalantly. A little worm of guilt wiggles around in my heart when they smile at me and leave for class, but I brush it away.

They'll get over it and I'll be able to go to prom and win back Dylan. It's not like Sam could go with him anyway, what with her most likely being paired up with Freddie. It'd be cheating. Heh heh heh.
