I can remember a time when everything was normal. Or what most people would have called it if it were me. I had just gotten the best news in my entire life, and my parents were actually there to witness it. My parents had a tendency to never show up to anything that pertained to me, because there was something my brother was doing that was more important. Anyways I was receiving my grades for job placement. I was suitable to go into a new field that had been created that year. It was for inventors. However, I may have been joyous, but my parents were disappointed in me. They had wanted me to go into the police district or to be able to run their company when they wanted to stop working. That was last the time I saw my parents come to any of my events.
I went to one of their events to appease them. I hated every minute of it. My brother was the golden boy and I was the forgotten nerd. Everyone there was happy for what job I had obtained. I made plenty of money. My parents would just smile and accept it, but when we were leaving they had their fun picking me apart. I was worthless to them. I had grown to accept that by now, though. Although, I had never expected to become the favorite child. I had developed a liking to being in the shadow of brother, because when I was there I could do anything I wanted without being scrutinized. My brother had ruined that for me when he decided to drop the largest bomb ever.
