I dropped the mike and left the arena. The crowd was going wild chanting my name. It took all of my willpower to keep up the stone cold persona. I wanted nothing more than to high five every single little kid that was reaching out to me, but that didn't fit my in ring persona so I couldn't.
Finally I made it back behind the stage. I let the facade fall. All of my pent up excitement got loose as I let out a cheer of joy. I jumped up in the air. After all the hard work I had finally made it to the big stage.
I was so excited that I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. I ran face first into someone. The both of us fell to the ground in a heap. I sprung back up to my feet. Looking down I was surprised to see that the person I had run into was Finn Balor. I hurried to help him get back up.
I said, "I'm so sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going. I hope I didn't hurt your shoulder."
Finn said, "It's OK. You didn't hurt me. I wasn't looking where I was going either."
I said, "That accent is hot. Wait did I say that out loud?"
Finn smirked and said, "Yes you did love."
I stuttered, "Well it was nice to meet you. But I have to go."
Finn said, "Alright love."
Finn turned around and started walking away. Then I realized I had no idea where I was going. I walked up to him and tapped him on his shoulder. His yelp of pain made me realize I had tapped the injured shoulder. Finn turned around to face me.
I said, "I am so sorry."
Finn said, "It's OK. Did you need something?"
I said, "I am kind of lost. I need to go to Stephanie McMahon's office, but I have no idea where that is."
Finn said, "No problem. I will be more than happy to show you."
Finn gestured out with his good arm for me to take it. I obliged and we walked arm in arm through the belly of Barclays Center. We engaged in polite conversation. Finn was a really nice guy. He was charming and polite during our conversation. I was so engaged in our conversation that I didn't realize we had stopped.
Finn said, "So you're saying that your dream job growing up was to be a cash register worker because you thought that they got to keep all the money?"
I said with a laugh "Yeah. Those were simpler times."
Finn said, "Yeah they were."
I turned to fully face Finn. I looked deep into Finn's blue green eyes. Those eyes were so entrancing. I got lost in his eyes. Finn coughed and we stepped apart.
Finn said, "Uhh. We are here."
I turned around to see a door labeled Commissioner's Office behind me. I blushed a deep red realizing how close Finn and I had been.
I said nervously, "Uhmm. Thanks."
Finn said, "You're welcome love. See you later."
Finn turned around and walked away. I opened the door. The moment I walked through the door I was greeted by a huge hug from Stephanie. Her arms engulfed me. I was kind of shocked. This was not usual behavior from Stephanie. A couple moments later Stephanie removed his arms from around me and took a step back. A smile lit up Stephanie's face.
I said, "Uhh. Not complaining. But what's up with all the affection."
Stephanie said, "I am just so excited for you."
I said, "Stephanie so how did I do? Did I hit you too hard?"
Stephanie said, "You did great and I am fine. The hardest part is over."
I said, "What about the match?"
Stephanie said, "That won't be a problem. Like I said earlier it's in your blood."
I said, "So who am I facing?"
Stephanie said, "You will be fighting Summer Rae."
I said, "Alright. She shouldn't be too bad."
Stephanie said, "Just to make sure you feel extra comfortable I brought someone along to help you feel a little extra comfortable."
