Chapter 4:

I arrive at the destination that the clue told to go to. Clutching my side I walk up the front steps of the door and to my surprise a neighbourhood cat jumps out hissing and spitting, scaring the crap out of me. I reach for the door handle and push the door open to the creepy house. Why does my parents kidnapper pick creepy places an then pick not creepy places. I don't know.

I find the clue taped to a kitchen cupboard. I open the envelope and pull the next clue out.

"GREAT YOU FOUND IT REMEMBER YOU ONLY HAVE 24 HOURS TO FIND YOUR PARENTS. ANYWAYS, THE NEXT CLUE IS LOCATED ON THE TREE YOUR PARENTS ENGRAVED WHEN THEY WERE TEENS. ENJOY"

What tree? my parents never told me about a tree that they engraved with there initials. I guess it wasn't important. But, it is now I need to find that tree. But who could I possibly ask who knows about the mysterious tree? And where it is? oh I know Mrs. Carter she has been friends with my parents for years she's know them since high school.

I sprinted to Mrs. Carter's house that, luckily was only a few blocks from the creepy house. I knocked lightly on the door waiting for an answer.

"Coming" I heard coming from inside the home.

"Oh hello Marie where are your parents?" Mrs. Carter had asked me. So she doesn't know my parents are missing? that's weird I thought to myself before answering.

"You didn't hear my parents are missing and I've been given these clues to find them but I need your help"

"Oh I'm sorry dear, I really didn't know. Well what is it you need help with?"

"Do you know about the tree that my parents carved their initials in?"

"Yes I do, why?"

"Where is it?"

"It's located at oak ridge park i'll take you there if you like"

"Yes thank you"

"Ok let me get my coat"

The drive to oak ridge park was interesting I told Mrs. Carter everything I knew according to what the clues told me, I also told her about the night my parents were kidnapped even though I have no clue how it happened. Mrs. Carter offered to called the police but I told no as it would risk my parents lives.

Once we arrived at oak ridge park I practically ran out of the car. Ok maybe not but I didn't want to waste anymore time considering I only had a short amount of time left. Mrs. Carter led me to the tree and I found the clue taped to the bark of the tree. I'm surprised it didn't blow away in the wind.

"NICE WORK REMEMBER YOU ONLY HAVE A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TIME LEFT SO YOU BETTER CLUE IN FAST!!! NOW ILL GIVE YOU PARTS OF THE ADDRESS FOR THE WAREHOUSE YOUR PARENTS ARE LOCATED IN THE FIRST PART OF THE ADDRESS IS LOCATED OUTSIDE OF YOUR HIGH SCHOOL BE QUICK TA TA"
