48 hours

I sprinted to the the high school and found the note taped to a pole inside the parking lot I opened it and read

"OKAY YOUR PARENTS ARE LOCATED IN A WAREHOUSE ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN THERE WILL BE A MAN WAITING OUTSIDE I'M THAT MAN I AM EXPECTING YOU BUT YOU HAVE TO WAIT TOMORROW NIGHT AND DO NOT BRING ANYBODY WITH YOU OR YOU DONT GET YOUR PARENTS BACK"

My heart was racing so fast. What was I supposed to do? Ugh. I need my parents back, I'm gonna have to figure something out. I go back to Mrs. Carter's house to get a ride home once in the door the exhaust hit me. Tears began to fall. I passed out on the couch with a tear stained face.

I woke up the next morning. And headed upstairs to shower and get dressed. Once I was showered and ready I collected the clues I had a put them in a backpack with a flashlight and some water. I through on my combat boots and left the house locking it behind me.

I walked to the café and bought some coffee and a muffin and I headed out. I found myself at a park and the memories flooded in, I remember my dad pushed me on this swing all the time after school.

I sat on the swing eating my muffin and drinking my coffee. It was mid October so everyone had Halloween decorations up. Something me and my parents couldn't do yet.

I finished off my coffee and muffin and threw them in the garbage. I walked through the park watching all the children playing or there parents pushing them on the swing. I remembered more memories of this park. Holding back tears I started to walk to Mrs. Carter's house.

Once I arrived I knocked on the door waiting for her to answer.

"Hello, Dear"

"Hi, Mrs Carter"

"How are you holding up?"

"I'm alright, thank you"

"Why don't you come in"

"That's okay, You see can I borrow your car"

"Sure dear let me get my keys"

She went in and grabbed her keys before handing them to me. I muttered a thanks and drove towards the stores. It was already 3:00 and I had to wait till night so I parked Mrs. Carter's car. And went in a couple shops to pass the time a little bit.

I finished shopping I went home to drop off the bags when I found a note in the mailbox. I opened the note and read

"CHANGE OF PLAN WE ARE RELOCATING YOUR PARENTS SOMEWHERE ELSE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SUSPICIOUS WE MOVED YOUR PARENTS TO AN ABANDONED HOUSE ON THE OUT SKIRTS OF TOWN IT'S JUST PASSED THE WAREHOUSE BUT IT'S IN THE WOODS I WILL BE STANDING OUTSIDE"
