(The next morning)

Millie had decided she was going to escape this morning. Security guarded the front door, but she could easily get past them. It also helped that there was no security cameras.

She quickly got up and got dressed.

She couldn't pack a bag or else she would look suspicious.

She looked over at the digital clock. It read 8:57 am.

She opened her door and headed towards Lilias door. She knocked.

No one answered. She must have gone down already.

She ran down the stairs. She was getting nervous.

She saw Maddie, Kenzie, and Lilia. She walked over to them.

"I hope this works," Millie whispered.

"I'm going to miss you," Maddie stood up and hugged her tightly.

"I know how much Finn means to you, so I am letting you go do this. Please be safe," Kenzie hugged her.

"I haven't known you long, but Millie, I love you and I'm going to miss you," Lilia hugged her.

As Lilia sat down Maddie said, "I wish you luck."

Millie saw Kenzie was getting teary eyes.

As Millie was about to leave, she heard Maddie say, "Wait I have something for you!"

Millie turned around. Maddie handed her five dollars in quarters.

"Thank you," Millie hugged her one last time.

She slipped the coins into her skirt pocket. She took a deep breath.

"Goodbye," Millie whispered.

She started to walk towards the door. She took a deep breath. She tried to look panicked. She increased her breathing. She started jogging towards the door. She saw one security guard.

"Mr. Security Guard," Millie whined.

"Yes young lady?" he responded.

"There's two boys picking on a young girl over there," Millie pointed to the left side of the dining area.

"Oh no, I will go check that out," The security guard nodded at Millie as he started walking over to where she pointed.

"Dumb ass," Millie whispered.

She slowly opened the front door. She slipped out. She immediately started running. Her lips curled into a small smile. She couldn't believe she had escape. She did it so effortlessly.

She turned the corner.

She stopped running.

"Holy," Millie whispered. She was surrounded by sky scrapers. She was in a city. She didn't know where she was.

She started scanning her surroundings. People walked quickly by her, they all seemed like they had somewhere important to be.

She didn't know where to start.

She had an idea.

She started looking for someone who looked reasonably nice. She spotted an old lady.

"Excuse me?" Millie asked politely.

"Yes young lady?" The woman said.

"What is this city called again? My mind is going blank," Millie giggled.

"Ah, it's called Greendale," The woman smiled.

"Thank you so much," Millie returned her smile.
