I woke to the sound of the door being unlocked. I quickly moved pressing my back to the closest wall, my body aching as I did so. I wasn't going to fight anyone, but it was still in my nature to be on guard. It was too dark inside, and too bright outside to see who came in. I sniffed the air stiffening when I smelled it was Hunter Ryan. I had a feeling he didn't like me, and I don't think it was just because I was being held as a prisoner.
"Get up!" I quickly did as he said still keeping my back to the wall. "So you don't like the place the Alpha so nicely set you up in? Is it not to your liking?" I did not look up, I stood looking at the floor. He came over standing in front of me.
"I asked you a question." He growled lowly in my ear getting close to my face feeling he was trying to intimidate me. I could feel his hot breath fan my hair.
"Yes Sir, I mean no Sir, I mean I like it..." I screamed out as he grabbed a fistful of my hair forcing me to look up at him. The smell of him was making my stomach turn, I scrunched my nose. If I had anything in my stomach I would be retching it up.
"Spit it out! I don't have all day." I could feel his grip tightening in my hair. His black hair fell around his face, making his red eyes seem even more terrifying as they stared down on me.
"This place is just fine, I appreciate it very much that the Alpha gave me a place to..." Once again he didn't let me finish.
"Shut up." Was all he said as he let go of my hair, grabbed my arm, gripping it tightly, dragging me to the door. I'm not a damn rag doll is what I wanted to say so badly, but kept it to myself, rolling my eyes. This guy really needed to learn some manners.
He pulled me out into the bright light, my arm instinctively shooting up to block the sun from my eyes. The next thing I knew my body was being slammed down on the hard ground. All the air I had in my lungs instantly rushed out of my body. My arms were being pinned behind my back as my face was being pushed into the gravel walk way. I could feel a hand squeezing my throat, and I could hear growling. I tried to catch my breath, but it was becoming more difficult as the hand got tighter.
"I was... just... covering... my eyes from the... sun." I said panicked as I was gasping for air, hoping the hand would let up. I heard someone yelling as my ears started to ring. I was soon back on my feet. My head spinning, eyes not focusing, and trying desperately to fill my lungs with air. Someone grabbed my arm gently, pulling me to stand. Holding my arm lightly when I was unsteady, I looked up seeing Beta Collins.
"Thank you." I said as I steadied myself which didn't last long when I found myself back on the ground, my right cheek feeling like it was on fire.
"You will not speak unless spoken to!" Hunter Ryan spat out at me.
"Hayden That Is Enough!" Beta Collins spoke in an authoritative voice. I refused to look up, but I figured they were having a silent exchange. Because it took a minute before I was yanked to my feet.
"For the next few days Hayden or I will come get you to take you to the task for that day. To see what you are good at and can contribute to this pack in the future. If the Alpha so chooses to let you stay. Today just so happens that we need some extra hands in the kitchen." I looked up to smile because I was so happy at the thought. Cooking was one of my best qualities, but the second I looked up Beta Collins eyes furrowed, and Hunter Ryan had a satisfied smirk stretched across his face.
"I'm sorry I have to do this but please turn around, and close your eyes" I did as Beta Collins instructed. I felt something being put over my eyes, and tied behind my head. Which caused me to wince when I felt a sharp pain in my right eye, and small stinging sensations on my cheek. There was a faint scent that made my wolf stir, but once again not enough to bring her out. The only thing that made me not break down once again was the fact of knowing she was still there. Bata Collins I assumed was the one to help me into the car seeing as it was gentle hands that touched me. Once in I heard two car doors shut, and an engine being turned come to life. We didn't drive for to long, but we did take a lot of twists, and turns. I felt the car finally come to a stop as I heard a car door open, and a few seconds later mine did as well. I was helped out of the car being turned around feeling what was around my eyes being untied.
