I shoot up from my bed. Cold sweat is dripping from my forehead. I calm my breathing as I realise it was just a dream, a horrible dream because it's a memory. I've been having the dream more often then usual. After five years of therapy you'd think I could finally forget. I walk over to the window of my studio apartment. I'm on the 54th floor so I can see and hear the cars flying past my window. A fast-food car flies past, my stomach grumbles. I remember I'm meant to meet my friends at the café in our apartment building. I throw on some clothes, a black shirt and some jeans, and put my ear piercings in. I grab my bag with my laptop and go to open my door when it suddenly opens. It's Jack and Wilow, Jack's smirking at me and Wilow is looking annoyed.
"You know you could knock" I say slightly annoyed, I knew I shouldn't given them my apartment key code.
"Well you are half an hour late" Jack says smirking.
"Oh shit" I say looking at my watch and realising I'm later than I thought.
"You could have texted us at least, the others are downstairs waiting" Wilow says glaring at me with her blue eyeshadow.
"Sorry I slept in" I explain as we walk out of the apartment to the elevator.
"The dream again" Jack says looking concerned.
"I don't wanna talk about it" I say not making eye contact with him as we go in the elevator. I see Wilow's face soften.
"You know you can talk to us about it" Wilow says giving a weak smile.
"mmhmm" I mumble as we reach the ground floor where the café is.
I scan my tag, a piece of technology that looks like a large metal bracelet with a small screen, to the door to the café and we all walk in. As we get to our usual table I see our other friends.
"About bloody time" Alec says throwing his hands in the air.
"Sorry Sorry Sorry" I say as I put my bag on my usual seat.
"You are pretty late" Kade says as he's sitting on his chair with his feet on the table.
"Well she's has a rough morning" Wilow says.
"Wait what? Why?" Kade says now looking concerned.
"Oh god why Wilow" I moan a bit immaturely.
"She had the dream again" Jack explains.
"Oh shit that's still happening?" Alec asks.
"Look guys I really don't want to talk about it. Besides I have news about Jack's crush" I say in a stereotypical high-pitched girly voice, while poking Jack in the arm. Jack puts his face in his hand.
"Oh great, way to throw me under the bus"
"Wait I didn't know you had a crush? Who is he? Is he blue haired guy?" Alec asks.
"Guys food! Then we can bug Jack about his future boyfriend" Kade says.
"I really hate you sometimes" Jack says glaring at me. Alec gets up as usually Alec, Jack, Wilow and I go get the food while Kade mines our bags and things and Wilow gets his food.
We come back with the food and sit down. Wilow sits next to Kade and gives him his food.
"Aww you're like his wife" I say mocking them.
"WE'RE JUST FRIENDS!" they almost scream. People to turn to look at us.
"Bloody hell guys, calm it down" Alec says seeing everyone looking at us. I sit there barley containing my laugh.
"Well she keeps going on and on about it" Wilow complains.
"Yeah you date for a month when you're 15 and you're apparently married for life" Kade says rolling his eyes.
