I hate alarms!
I hate alarms!!
I hate alarms!!!
Well, that was the first thought that came to my mind as soon as I woke up. Just when my sleep was getting sweet, the bloody alarm had to go and ruin everything.
Arrgh!
I hate Monday's too and Tuesday's and every other day I have to go to school and undergo the torture of listening to teachers rant endlessly. Kill me already!
Anyways, slowly and with great effort, I manage to undergo my daily morning ritual, you know, hating everything, grumbling about (on my bed) for about ten seconds, failing miserably to get at least one more minute of sleep(still on the bed) and finally giving up on sleep entirely, realising I really need to get up before mum–
"Xarie! Would you stop lazing around and get ready for school"!–well you get the picture.
"On it mum".
Did I tell you I was really fast when it comes to getting prepped for school? Well now you know. In less than twenty minutes, I was done preparing.(I'm really not in the mood to describe what I wore today), But! I er, well I have to mention that I wore my glasses. It's like my closest companion. Get it?
Eclesias meres toma!
Oh no.
Eclesias meres toma!!
No, no, no.
Eclesias meres toma!!!
Shit, no!Not again. Damn, I thought those creepy voices had stopped disturbing me. You see, I started hearing them when I clocked thirteen, right after I blew the candles off my cake. Then they magically disappeared after my fifteenth birthday.
Well, it seems they've begun again! I remember when I told mum about it, she just brushed it off saying I was imagining things (which is quite unlike my mum, since she frets about every single thing). So I'm going to do what I've always done, I'll simply ignore them (that was Addie's idea).
Once the voices start, Addie would keep talking nonstop till I eventually tuned out the voices. Now she's gone, I guess I'll just have to settle for using my headphones to tune them out.
Soon, I had Kamikaze blasting through my headphones.
Take me to the party, Kami, Kamikaze..
"Mum", I called out racing down the stairs
"What's for breakfast?". "Guess", she called out.
"Omelette?"
"Correct! I knew sending you to school wasn't a waste".
Oh, did I mention we have an eating timetable? Well, we do. So, that explains how I knew what was for breakfast, I really don't want you thinking I'm a genius or anything.
"Done" I yelled out.
"I'm off, see you later?"
"Uh, I've got the night shift today, so I'm probably not going to see you till tomorrow."
"Okay, no problem mum".
At least she'd be around tomorrow . I remember when she still worked at the medical research agency. I'm secretly happy mum quit her research job that entailed her traveling a lot and decided to have a home job as a Nurse.
She was working for a medical research agency, but since I clocked thirteen, she magically quit the job.
