For this year's school trip, Karasuno High School was to stay in a neighborhood-like setting, with small cabins made for certain camps and events like these. They were divided by year level, then by class, then gender.
After the assembly in the main house, with the purpose of going through their schedule and the rules, Skie and the rest of Class 4 headed to their rooms, before the girls and boys parted. They, in a flurry of excitement, merely left their luggage by the foot of their mattresses and rushed out right after, saying a few rushed farewells to their other classmates.
"Ah, Kinoshita!" Skie called, upon seeing the slightly messy dirty-blonde hair that he possessed. "Wait for me!"
He merely hummed in reply, pausing to let Skie catch up with his strides.
"Akemi?" he said.
"I asked your coach if I was allowed to come with you guys for the practice match. I have a few friends there that I'm planning on spending the day with," Skie explained, a sheepish smile evident in her expression.
"He said yes, right?" Kinoshita asked.
"Of course he did! I wouldn't be asking you to wait for me if he didn't," she smiled. "Yanno, you can be an idiot sometimes."
"It feels like a gradeschooler is telling me I'm stupid," Kinoshita muttered.
"WELL, YOU BETTER GET USED TO IT!" Skie said, waving him off as she attempted to walk ahead of him.
His long strides were difficult to out-walk.
They spotted a few of the volleyball club members and their managers seated on a few benches in the reception area, talking among themselves.
"Have you guys seen Hinata and Kageyama?" Sugawara asked upon seeing them arrive. "They're sort of...lost?"
"Check the canteen," Skie suggested. "They'd probably be stuffing their mouths with food."
"And milk," Ennoshita added, causing Sugawara to snicker.
"We made Tsukishima and Yamaguchi look for them," Nishinoya said.
Sugawara let out a breif sigh.
"Looks like we'll be here longer than we thought," he mused. "Wanna get some drinks or something?"
After two strangely intense rounds of rock-paper-scissors, Skie waved at Nishinoya and Daichi as they left in search for a vending machine, or a small convenience store.
Skie got up and took Daichi's seat next to Yachi, receiving a small smile from the first-year.
"Yachi, I have a question," Skie said. "Well, not really, but I sorta read your messages with Ennoshita."
Her voice went down to a whisper, her eyes glancing at the said player.
Yachi stared at her with wide eyes, her face breaking into a bright shade of red.
"The ones about yaoi?!"
"Yachi, you really can't control your blushing, ne?"Skie teased. "It's all good, I also have a lot of ships, after all."
Skie gave her a flustered smile, and the two ended up exploding in a flurry of high pitched squeals and messy fangirling.
Nobody sees Yachi like this, it got Skie to be at least a bit surprised.
The others caught Nishinoya and Daichi walking towards them, four first-year students trailing behind them.
"WE FOUND THEM!" Nishinoya announced, placing the plastic bag on the couch, next to Skie.
