I turned the corner, and waved goodbye to my Best Friend, Grace. She walked down the street, and waved a she turned up the path, into her house. I carried on up the road, and turned into Coral street, a road with Large, white houses. Each lampost had a hanging basket, bursting with Flowers. The whole Firesc estate was beauiful. Grace was so lucky to live this side of town, in a beautiful, 3 story house, with amazing views of the surrounding Hills.
The Village of Lamsby was amazing in itself. It was placed on the coast, with high cliff around the side, and Bumpy hills along the back, Hiding from the rest of the world. A feww islands settled out in the sea, but I had never been there. A little care kid like me, going to an Island like that? I was lucky to be taken into town by the workers, never mind OUT of town!
Grace was lucky though. Her Gran lived out there. She lives in a massive house, with her two bestest friends. She had the whole island all to herself. She could do anything! Grace is always saying that she would take me oneday. That we would runaway, swim across the sea, and live with her Gran. We could do whatever we wanted! Even stay up until 9 O'clock on a school night. We didnt even have to go to school though! We could teach ourselves! But that had never happened. When I suggested that we go, Grace always had Horse riding that night, or Judo, Or gymnastics! I Never got to do that, I just got to do Homework, or go in the Den me and Liv has made.
Liv is my room mate at Stokely House, where we live. We make dens in our room some nights, But normally Jessie tells us to take them down. Me and Liv get in pretty well, But Liv isnt Best friend material. She is into fashion and Singing, and I like to have adventures.
I walked through the estate and onto the main road. Cars were wooshing past with no intention of slowing down. Just speeding forever and ever and Ever. I wonder wether they live somewhere? In a big house like Grace? On an Island like Grace's Gran? Or in a Childrens home like me.
Once I reached The junction to Aslan way, I started to run. I didnt like it on this side of the estate. In fact, I hated it! It was horrible! The way people gardens were such a mess, the way people stood outside smoking cigarettes in the driveway. The way people glared at you as you walked by. I ran and ran and ran, until finally, I reached Stokely House.
