Curiosity

Death, and life,

What's it all about?

Why are we curious?

Why are we not filled with doubt?

We should be scared,

We should be frightened.

But instead we're filled with wonder,

Our curiosity heightened.

We should be cowering in fear.

We should be running away.

But they make us wonder,

They're what bring us here.

We should all be scared,

Running away and hiding.

Life scares us all,

Because we're afraid of dying.

We should all be frightened,

Cowering in all corners.

Death makes us afraid,

Because it lurks at all hours.

Why is it that we all want to know,

More.

When we need to know,

Less.

Less is more, they always say.

Nobody listens,

The things never scare us away,

We want to know it all.

Death is the darkness,

That creeps up inside us.

Life is the light

That scours it all away.
