Deep in the forest lied the black wizard Zeref himself in a deep sleep. He woke up with a slight jerk. "A dream? That's rare." He stated as he sat up.

"Natsu...(Y/N).." He stated as he recalled his dream or rather flashback of his life before his curse.

"I wanted to study life and death since my two siblings died at a very young age.... After our village was attacked by dragons," Zeref said quietly "At the academy I was told many times to not go through with my studies and creating the eclipse gate."

"-But I couldn't help myself, could I?" Zeref said as he remembered seeing every student and teacher in his academy dead after he got cursed. The more he cared for the lives of others, they were taken from them by him.

He grabbed the book of the twin fire demons. The demons that every person in Fiore wants destroyed.

"Natsu... (Y/N)...Zeref Dragneel is my name. I'm your older brother." Zeref recited out loud "Hm, that didn't sound too good. Maybe more dramatic I suppose when I really tell them."

"Who goes there?!" Someone growls

"Great, Natsu! We're screwed!" Lucy shouted, nearly strangling Natsu

"No time to yell at me Luce there's someone behind you!!" Natsu shouted

"Eh?!" Lucy turned around and saw about eight people.

"Gray!" (Y/N) said, Natsu and Lucy looked immediately and saw the change in their friend.

"Gray! We've been looking for you! Fairy tail needs you!" Natsu says

"..." Gray just looked at the pinkette like he was insane.

"Gray...?" Lucy said nervously

"I'll take care of them myself." He said, taking off the jacket on his body.

"Your..guild mark..." Happy gasped

"He erased it." Natsu said

"Of course I did. You guys just can't come to me after a year and expect us to still be friends. Our guild doesn't exist anymore. And you... Natsu! I want to kill you! Ice make hammer!" Gray says

"Fire dragon iron fist!" (Y/N) jumps in the way and breaks the hammer into pieces

"(Y/N)..?" Natsu said, shocked

"I did some training of my own, Sting helped. You guys aren't the only ones who trained." (Y/N) smiled

"And you...! You broke my heart! I haven't forgotten about you either! I want to kill you too!" Gray shouts, shooting ice shards at them, (Y/N) specifically.

"Gray I didn't mean to I swear!" (Y/N) said as they dodged the needles

"LIAR!" Gray shouted, blasting more towards them

"Fire dragon brilliant flame!" (Y/N) brought both of her hands together and created a giant explosion that blew up the whole church the dark guild had owned.

"(Y/N) why are you picking up on Natsu's habits..... Just why?" Lucy asks, coughing out smoke

"Wooo! That's my little sister!" Natsu praised (Y/N)

"Aye! Way to go (Y/N)!" Happy cheered

"I don't know why I'm still surprised after all this time." Lucy sighed

"Wait where'd they go?" Happy asked in confusion

"I don't know... they're gone." (Y/N) said

Only Gray remained, protected from the explosion by using an ice shield.

"Ready (Y/N)?"

"Always, Nat!" (Y/N) said as the two powered up

"Wait!!! I can explain!" Gray shouted

"Huh?" Lucy and Happy cocked their heads in confusion

"Erza sent me here on an undercover mission. I swear. I was only spying on them." Gray said

"How can we believe you for sure and know you're possessed from your devil magic?" Natsu asked

"Flame brain." Gray stated

"Yep that's the ice princess all right." Natsu scoffed

"But what about the markings and..?" (Y/N) asked

"They're just part of my ice devil magic, they weren't affecting me in any way." Gray said cooly, dusting himself off

"Great! So where's Erza?!" Lucy asked

"She's somewhere else. We might want to join her soon since the battle is about to begin." Gray said

"Battle?" Happy asked

"Avatar is a cult, they worship Zeref and let's just say they'd do anything to see the guy personally."
