Chaeyoung's POV
Jisoo unnie didn't really believe me when I informed her she had been having the most random of conversations with none other than Kim Seokjin, of Bangtan Sonyeodan no less.
I had been eavesdropping from my hiding place around the corner of the aisle she was in. I arrived just as she finished her speech and then he walked over before I had a chance to react.
It was amusing actually, to see my oblivious unnie talking animatedly with Bangtan's eminent 'Mr Worldwide Handsome'.
Yeah, I occasionally watched their videos ok? I like their songs...
"Oh come on, what would they be doing at 11 am in broad daylight at the grocery store?"
I raised my eyebrows at her. Sometimes, I really can't tell when she's being serious or not.
"Umm...shopping for food? Like us...?"
" But they're BTS!"
"Yeah we established that 5 minutes ago--"
"How can they just wander around? Don't they have security or something? They're BTS, like the biggest thing in the industry right now..."
"Well, it's not like we're exactly allowed to leave the premises without permission ourselves" I said wryly. We may not be very active but we're still idols.
She just winked at me and I could only shake my head.
We were currently walking back to YG building. We kept our heads down but so far, we hadn't attracted attention. I prayed the rain wouldn't increase; it was currently drizzling lightly.
We really hadn't thought this through when unnie pulled me out of the dorm with her. I should have grabbed an umbrella.
We had sneaked out the back, from the fire exits, and had to walk all around the block to get to the store. But at least we avoided the lines of journalists waiting to pounce on us the moment we emerged from the entrance.
"And I told you, I almost ran into his other members" I reminded her.
I had been wandering around aimlessly, humming to the song blaring from the store's speakers.
There were two men conversing behind me in hushed voices but I could still make out what they were saying.
"Yah, do you think this is the brand they told us about?"
"Who cares, let's just grab the ramen and get out of here, please?" drawled a second voice, sounding slightly on edge.
"Don't worry, nobody will recognise us"
"They will if you keep announcing our presence here" he replied with a sigh.
I kept my back to them but curiosity got the better of me. I switched on the selca camera of my phone and held it close to me, tilted at an angle.
I spotted two masked boys wearing caps and sunglasses, but I've familiarised myself with idols trying to blend in. And I've encountered them at shows enough to recognise them--Bangtan Sonyeodan.
The blond haired guy would be Suga and the guy with a swarthy complexion would be Namjoon.
I watched them as they bickered by the cup ramen section. Suga looked up one time but I was quick to hide my phone, in case he thought I was stalking them.
I wasn't doing anything wrong...just minding my business over here and ever so casually overhearing them argue over which flavour to choose.
It wasn't like I had never seen them before--we've bowed to each other during music events and were even seated near each other. But I had never seen them up close outside of shows. I was curious to see them interacting.
