Chaeyoung's POV
Jisoo unnie was still trying to decide what to pack when the van taking us back to YG's dungeon arrived.
It's...it's not really a dungeon, that's just an inside joke the girls and I use whenever we spoke about the strict conditions we trained in.
I'm sure Papa YG heard about it but he never told us off so I guess that's a good thing...
"Chaeyoung-ah you have to help me!" Jisoo said in panic as she dumped her entire track pant collection on her bed.
I pulled out my earphones, interrupted mid-song.
"Just pack something comfortable...they didn't say how long we'll be away" I told her and went back to listening to Into You. It's my jam at the moment
I was brimming with excitement--YG himself called us and told us we had to go to HQ for an important meeting on Monday, which happened to be Lalisa's birthday. Our manager later relayed additional instructions: we had to pack clothes, possibly for a week's stay, for now.
Teddy oppa and his team must have finally finished with the songs they had been preparing and now it was our turn to do the work. It must be. I had packed my bag from the day before, ready to get back to our real job.
After so long we were going to get our album. I can't wait! The last time Teddy oppa talked with us was way back in September, when we discussed ideas for new songs.
Teddy oppa is really cool and talented--I admire his way of evoking emotions with words and his music. He has this way of crinkling his eyes when smiling.
"I'll work hard"He promised, his eyes crinkling.
"Can we have more black rather than pink?" Jennie had asked, referring to our style. Teddy agreed to give it a shot. He also mentioned that maybe he could experiment with moody vibes, a change from our summer single AIIYL.
"Chaeyoung-ah please!"
I snapped from my daydreaming."Uh well... Um, how about these five? We'll probably be back here for the weekend at the latest.."
Jisoo stuffed the clothes in the bag and zipped it up. I followed, humming Paper Hearts under my breath. Another of my go-to songs for practically anytime.
"Yah, Lalisa, Jennie, hurry up!" she called as she swanned regally down the stairs.
I shook my head when I heard the others groan. They were still packing.
"Happy Birthday Lisa!" I called from the doorway, blowing her a kiss. She caught it, placing a hand to her heart, her thick lips stretching wide.
"Ah, only Chaeyoungie has remembered" she exclaimed, staring pointedly at Jennie's back. But the other girl ignored her steadfastly, frowning at several tops laid out on the bed.
I followed Jisoo out in the garden where men from YG had come to pick us up.
"Ne, unnie, aren't you excited?" I laughed, twirling around in the yard as the men took our bags, "oh I hope Teddy didn't forget what we told him"
"You're going to make yourself dizzy. Calm down, all this fuss for some meeting. I don't even know why we had to pack. Manager Song was being really hush hush about this whole affair...." She pretended to think, striking the detective pose with her index finger under her chin. "Detective Chuuchan smells a rat!"
"We'd better get Gray and Spots then" I laughed.
We heard a crash somewhere in the house, followed by Jennie's scream.
