"AND I WILL SEE ALL YOU DUDES IN THE NEXT VIDEO!" You smiled warmly as another Subnautica video from your favorite Youtuber, Jackcepticeye came to a close.
You had been watching Jack for as long as you can remember. You were in college now and it was like you had taken a little piece of home with you.
You looked at the clock, 3 A.M. Great. Just what you needed before an 8 A.M class. You close your laptop and get comfortable in your bed. You drift off dreaming of Jack.

The next morning

You wake up reluctantly to the sound of your alarm. You crawl out of bed and go take a shower and throw in some jeans and a t-shirt for class. Your morning class was math. But the only other course you had today was your film class. This course had become one of your favorites. You were working on a big project with lots of editing and shooting to be done. Excitement rushes through you when you think about how it's coming along.
After math you rush across campus to the building where your final class for the day is being held. You go and take notes while still counting down the time until you could rush back to your dorm and watch more YouTube. While you're in class you get a notification from Twitter.

Jacksepticeye tweeted:
Some of you are so talented and creative in so many forms! Send me some of your work! Anything you've got! It's for a secret video 🤫

It was a long shot but you decided to tweet a link to one of your other projects from that class. It was a thirty second commercial. It was goofy and will but you thought the editing was pretty good. You tweeted the link and tried to pay attention for the rest of class. After class you stopped by the Starbucks on campus. A few of your friends worked there and they told you in the group chat to come visit them. You all sat around and talked until closing. Then you all parted ways and went to your dorms. In all the excitement you hadn't checked your phone. It was sitting idly in your bag. So of course when you got to your room you grabbed your phone out of your bag before tossing it in the corner and flopping down on your bed. When you look st your phone you see a tone of notifications from Twitter. You decide to open the app to see what happened.
At first you didn't understand what had happened, then you saw it. Jacksepticeye has replied to your tweet.
WHOA WHAT?! You had to read it three times.

Jacksepticeye replied to your tweet:

This video is amazing! The commercial is funny but besides that the editing is great! Nice work!

You were hyperventilating. How could this be? Your idol noticed your work! And he thought t was amazing! You were so busy freaking out you didn't notice you'd gotten a direct message notification. I mean of course you had a ton from your online friends freaking out and your mentions were full with likes and retweets. But this DM was different.

At first you couldn't believe it. You thought someone just had the same avi as Jack. But when you clicked on the account it showed the Twitter verified check. It was the real Jacksepticeye. You read the DM over and over again.

Hey I know I tweeted you to appreciate your work but I wanted to tell you that you've got some real talent. Have you ever considered becoming an editor? CinnamonToastKen is looking for someone new if you know who that is and you're interested. I'm sure Robin could give you some tips and tricks!

Jack really thought you were that good at editing? You were just in a beginner class. You only knew the basics. You were overwhelmed it was just so much to take in! You had to try multiple times to write a reply.

Jack, your appreciation of my work means the entire world to me! This was just a class project and I'm still a beginner so to know you liked watching it and appreciated the editing is more that I could have ever asked for. But I'm still not sure I could be an editor because I am a beginner and Ken needs someone who's more experienced. I appreciate the offer so much! Thank you!

It wasn't very long before he replied:

You're a beginner? You've got some real skill! I really think you should consider taking some tips from Robin and at least send your work to Ken to see what he thinks! It could be a really great opportunity.

So you reply:

I'd love some tips from Robin! I'm actually working on my final project now and it's going to be huge I'm very excited about it! As for the editor position I'm not sure I could live up to Emily's skills on Meme Couch. Those are high quality, funny edits!  I'll think about it and maybe at least send some stuff to him and see what he thinks.

Jack replies:

Okay! I'll put in a good word for you! 😉 and I'll get you in touch with Robin! Talk to you soon I have some videos to record!

Did that really just happen? Did Jacksepticeye, THE JACKSEPTICEYE compliment your work?! And offer you a job with one of his Youtube friends? Life could not be real! You decided to get on your computer and put together some of your work to send to Ken. What were you doing to do if you got the job? Could you handle all the editing?

About that time your phone dings on Twitter so you rush to check it. It's a DM from Robin.

Hey! Jack showed me your video and told me about your agreement. I don't know how much I can teach you over FaceTime but we can surely try! What's your number and a good time for you outside of class that we can try and work?

You replied back with your schedule and your number. You then told Robin you had to sleep before
class tomorrow. He told you goodnight and you turned off your phone to sleep. What a wild day!
