Nico and Hazel still had their swords drawn but they looked at each other and lowered their weapons. Jake remained unfazed, keeping his hands in the air. He reached out his hand and shook Nico's, nodding appreciation.
"Why are you here?" Nico asked, drawing his hand back and putting it in his pocket. That kid was as pale as snow, and it was kinda unnerving.
"We had a...situation," Jake paced back and forth, "Christina's brother, Tyler, issued a prophecy. Now, we probably should be worrying about that problem but me and my girlfriend are on a date. But, from smalltime eavesdropping, I suppose you guys are looking for, well, probably us."
Hazel looked shocked that Jake could say all that that fast. But Nico just smirked, "Well it's been maybe four weeks and you're still telling bad jokes. Anyways, do you mind me asking what that prophecy said, exactly?"
"Seven heroes shall meet six, An age long aggression, they shall fix, 3 shall be 1, in order to win, The fire of immortality, hiding within," Jake repeated calmly, "Ring any bells?"
Hazel's eyes widened, "The Camp Half-Blood oracle. She said the same thing. But...that's impossible because you guys are Egyptian, right?"
I was about to make some sort of sarcastic comment like 'No we're aliens' but I realized something in my head. Seven heroes shall meet six. There was six of us magicians in our little team: Me, Carter, Jake, Sadie, Walt, and Zia. So who were the other seven? A tugging in my gut told me that I was onto something there. But I must've made some kind I sound, because all their eyes were on me.
"N-Nico," I murmured, "Do you happen to have...maybe five more friends that would make a group of seven? Because I think I've got an idea."
Jake stared at me, as if trying to read my thoughts and his eyes widened, "Seven heroes shall meet six. Us and them."
Hazel spoke up, "Um, there was a quest not many months ago, including me and six other demigods. Nico wasn't one of the ones included but-"
"I went anyways," Nico seemed kind of bitter about it but he waved it away, "So you're saying you guys might be the six?"
I nodded, "Exactly. So are we meant to stop something? An age long aggression? The only aggression that lasts an age is when two girls fight."
Jake smirked, "So obviously we need to meet up somewhere. I wager you guys didn't bring the whole team?"
Nico turned up his palms, "If I'd known, I would've."
Jake shrugged, "Well we didn't either, so touché. We need to gather somewhere. I hope you don't mind trying to call them to a meeting."
"It should be fine. Meet us in front of the Empire State Building tomorrow. Is that good?" Hazel asked, "Or do you guys have any alternatives...?"
I shook my head, "Nah, it's good. We'll meet tomorrow."
Jake and Nico fist bumped, and I just shook Hazel's hand. They gathered up their dog, who still eyed up Jake warily and we were already walking away before Nico called back, "Do you happen to know someone named, uh, Kamehea? He's been taking out demigods and I wondered if you guys were-"
"It looks like we've got a common enemy," Jake cut him off, and he snapped his wings out before saying, "We'll talk tomorrow. Adiós."
Jake and I walked calmly back to the car [shocker, since both of us were freaking out] and as soon as we sat on the Impala's hardened leather seats, Jake said, "Greeks, and Egyptians, and bad guys..."
"Oh my," I finished for him.
