[Thanks for the cliffhanger effect, Tina. Now I get to elaborate awkwardly because they're all expecting the action to start right now. You screwed me over, River. Doesn't matter, now the Lloyd boy is back in the game. So lets get started.]

But anyways, Christina isn't kidding. We were both basically freaking out. That tended to be a repeating factor in the life of an Egyptian magician, but that's besides the point. As we drove back to the 21st Nome, Christina seemed lost in thought. She had her feet up on the dashboard, which was fine with me, and she had her hands together by her lips in thought. Her hair tumbled around her shoulders and she wore a light blue tank top with some nice denim jeans, meaning she was still ready to cast magic, come the need. I knew she was dressed casually but she still looked beautiful and like a warrior girl ready to beat an army and go out on a fancy schmancy date afterwards and...sorry I got distracted.

"Penny for your thoughts," I said, turning through a stoplight. Traffic had gotten significantly more annoying, and I kept glancing at the clock which said 8:30 p.m. Mom, I mean, Sadie, wanted us to be home by 9:00. That seemed unrealistic right now.

Christina broke her silence, "You remember when we met them a couple weeks ago, right? I had figured that was strange coincidence. But then Sadie had met that girl that she told us about. Her name was like Anne; or Annabeth I think. That seems very strange to me. And yet, Carter did tell us about that time, like, five months ago when he met that Percy kid who claimed to have a, uh, Pegasus or something-I don't remember. And the way I see it? That isn't a coincidence. That's a pattern."

I followed her the best I could. Everything she said basically connected my stars of thoughts into one huge constellation [METAPHORS] and I was placing together the puzzle pieces she had left off.

"'Seven heroes shall meet six.' That's the line I'm interested in," I bit my lip slightly as I changed lanes absentmindedly, "Are we the six heroes? Or are there six more Greeks? The way I see it, a demigod is equivalent to a hero. We're magicians. Not demigods. But maybe...I don't know. It says '3 shall be 1.' There's us and the Greeks. So who's the third team or whatever?"

Christina kept her eyes as she pondered what I'd said. Usually, if we were just driving casually, she would always ask if driving was easy, or if this was an easier car to drive or whatever. I could always explain it to her, but now she didn't seem interested, which was a bummer because she always had something to say and always kept me happy. Now, she seemed worried. Thoughtful, as well. Her mind was almost visibly turning in her head, and I took a quick glance in the duat at her.

'Whoa!' I screamed in my head.

'Whoa!' Bast screamed back and we stared at Christina, who looked ten times better. In the duat, she looked like an Egyptian princess: her hair was all flowing like she was in water and she wore a smooth cotton dress, with golden jewlery lining her arms and neck. Kohl was drawn perfectly around her eyes, and she wore sandals that were propped up on the ghastly seat of the car. Water actually flowed up and down her arms, making swirling motions beautifully like artwork. Sadly, I accidentally let my foot off the accelerator and it slipped onto the break, jamming the car to a stop. I snapped out of the duat and refocused on the road and the cars honking at me. Christina jolted and she put a hand on my arm worriedly.

"Holy Horus' Hairstyle, Jake, what was that? Are you alright?" She asked worriedly. My eyes were probably still wide, and my mind still had that beautiful image burned into my mind.

I stuttered awkwardly, "Uh, yeah, yeah, I'm good. Yeah, I'm fine."

'That's important, Jake,' Bast whispered ominously in my mind as I refocused on the road.

'Really?' I asked back, 'Like, how important? What do you mean?'

'Hella important,' Bast said again which confused me even more. She went silent again and I shook my head to clear it. We pulled onto the path to enter the Brooklyn house and I turned off the ignition. Christina got out and opened the door to the Nome as I jogged up behind her. We entered into the Great Hall, where initates chatted and laughed, hanging out and doing normal kid stuff for once, like watching TV and playing board games or seeing if they could turn one another into animals with highly dangerous magic and stuff but we passed right by that and went out to the terrace, where Carter, Zia, Sadie, and Walt sat, along with all the other friends we'd retrieved a few weeks ago in order to stop Dylan and his humongous army of bad guys. As you can tell, we use technical terms in the field of magic.
