Chapter Three: Daddy's Little Demon

I found her, Ava... well her house anyway. I turned from wolf to human, I knocked on her door. "Who is it!?" Her soft voice sounded harmless. "It's Rory the girl from school, I was wondering it we could study?" I heard footsteps and locks being unlocked the door creaked open. "Rory!" She quickly pulled me inside, she looked out the door again, then locked the door. "How did you find me!?" Her face was a pale blue. "I-I-I." She grabbed me by my throat and pushed me against a wall, I was shocked, I tried to scratch her hand with my nails but she just squeezed harder, "WhO SeNT YoU!?" I started to growl like Oliver, smoke started to spread around me, she screamed and dropped me and ran to the other side of the room. "What are you!?" She cried. "I could ask you the same thing?" I coughed in a hoarse voice and rubbed me neck. "That's none of your concern!" She screamed and started to throw things at me. "Get away from me!" I looked at the smoke around me it looked like 'dad's'. "Do you know you 'dad' is?" She didn't respond. "Do you know who he is!?" I yelled at her, she nodded her head. "He killed them, he killed them all." I stood there wide eyed as she pointed to the receding smoke. "When this girl had opened a small gate to him, experiments 001-007 got killed by him right away, he didn't kill me or the girl that had opened up the gate, as a matter in fact he was impressed, she was like his star student, he called her his 'Little Demon' I wanted everything she had her powers her bond with him everything, most of the time he would have her practice her powers by opening gates and seeing if she could make bigger ones..." She took a deep shaky breath, "Well? What happened next?" I anxiously waited for her to continue. "The girl was also able to turn into different creatures, the only reason I was there was to keep her company. One night when he was out, she got cold so I made a fire in the one place where there were thousands of bloodworms, dad had felt it he said it burned him, I didn't understand then he hurt me, h-he used to grab me by my neck and choke me, it hurt... then the girl started to turn into him and not personality wise, but she looked exactly like him, she turned into him... I ran she had opened up a gate and we both escaped, but during so we ran away from each other, she went one way and I went another." I began to tear up. "What was her name?" "012." I froze. "And the other girl?" "What's it to you!?" "I'm just curious!" "Her name was 013! Now get out of my house!" She screamed and started to throw things at me again. I grabbed my bag, I was so confused I wasn't looking where I was going a blue car started to honk its horn, I was able to get a glimpse of who was driving a blond mullet. Then I jumped over the car and rolled onto the ground. I had several scratches on my cheeks, hands, arms, and legs, a few cuts on my head. "Rory!?" There was a voice it was erie but understandable, I groaned as I tried to sit up. "Easy, easy." A hand tried to help me up, but I snapped, considering what just happened with the car and Ava, I'm a bit on edge. "Mike!" Smoke started to envelope me again, it slowly started to heal my cuts. I slowly stood up, and glared up at Mike. "What do you think you're doing!" I growled. "Well considering you almost got hit by a car! Trying to help you!" "I don't need you help or anyone's, I've been on my own before! I can handle getting a little bit hurt!" And with that I ran off into the woods, jumping over dead trees, ducking under low branches, getting a few cuts but then that same smoke healed them. "Rory!!!" I heard him but pretended like I didn't, I kept running but stopped when I came to the cliff of a quarry, my only options were run back and confront them or jump and then turn into a little bird and flying. "Rory!" "One more step and I'll jump." I turned to them so my back was to the quarry. "P-please, walk towards me slowly." I stuck my foot out behind me. "Rory!" He shout which caught me off guard, he grabbed my arm I quickly pulled back but Will dove forward and pulled me back leavening him on the edge of the cliff, I gasped as he started to fall. I ran off the cliff and dove for him, I thought for the dragon form but smaller, I grabbed Will and stated to fly back up the cliff. I lightly dropped him on the ground several feet away from the cliff. I landed then collapsed as my normal self. "Kid don't ever do that again." His friends crowded around him. "Well he would've had to do that if you had stopped and talked to us!" "Yeah well if you haven't noticed on the social type!" I snapped smoke started to envelop me and my eyes started to hurt, "Well that's not our fault!" I growled and pushed Lucas up against the rock wall. "Don't test me!" I let go of him. "Tell anyone what you saw here and I will hurt you." I turned into a wolf and started to run away.
