o Tyler’s POV o

I turn the corner only to slam into a wall.

Ouch

My vision goes blurry as I see a figure walking towards me.

“You can’t run from me Banks, how many times have a told you this”

I try to crawl back but I hit a corner and now I’m stuck. Just the normal routine of getting bashed up by the school bully Sam Parker. Except this time I tried to run, stupid idea thinking he couldn’t catch me but at the time I was oblivious to the fact that he was the star quarter back of the football team.

Stupid, stupid Tyler

“Lights out Tyler”

And suddenly the world went black.

**************

My eyes flutter open and suddenly I feel a sharp pain in my head. Realising that this one was definitely going to bruise just like the others. I look around at my surroundings, dark musty room, dim light, brooms, mops yep I’m locked in the janitors closet again. I reach out to find the nearest shelf. My hand hits something cold and I grab onto the shelf and slowly pull myself up. My bones ache and my head throbs as I stagger over to the door and try the handle. Yes I was right it’s locked, somehow I knew Sam wasn’t going to let me out that easy. I adjusted my chunky glasses and sat them properly on the ridge of my nose. I was going to get them off soon and I was so glad they were so ugly, of course I could have worn contacts but putting them in was a pain in my ass.

I wonder how long I will be stuck in here this time.

I take out my phone and check the time 3:15 and as if on cue the bell rings for the end of the day. I look down my contacts thinking of who I can call. Not my mum, this bullying has been going on for 3 years and I still haven’t told her, mostly because she would freak and call the principle and make a big deal out of it and I would be the talk of the school.

I stop as I come across one of my old contacts

Charli

Charli was the ‘it’ girl the star of the cheerleading team. Back in primary school we used to be best friends but we drifted apart, the more popular she got the more she ignored me. It was a risk texting her but I had no-one else to turn to so what have I got to lose right?!

Me: Hey um Charli it’s me Tyler, I’m stuck in the janitors closet. Can you maybe come let me out?

I just realised how pathetic I sounded, no wonder she didn’t want to be friends with me, not just that she wouldn’t dare be caught with someone like me.

I sat there staring at my phone like an idiot waiting for her reply. I thought just how easy it would be just to text my best friends Ally and Jack, but they told me that I had to tell my mum or they would. I know they were just trying to look out for me but they just didn’t understand, so I convinced them the bullying had stopped.

*5 minutes later*

Of course she wouldn’t text you back you idiot.

It had been 5 minutes and she still hadn’t text back and I was starting to worry, what if I’m left here all night. I look around and try to look for a blanket or something to keep me warm, it was starting to get cold and I didn’t want to get hypothermia while I’m asleep. I may hate my life but I can’t leave my mum alone, dad already left her and she’s still struggling to cope with everything but I know she’s glad she has me to look after her.

I hear a click as someone puts the key into the lock and before I can stand up, the door opens and I feel the cold hard floor against my back. I squint my eyes to see a tall figure towering over me. Blonde waist length wavy hair, dark Hazelle coloured eyes, and unmistakable black tie headband. (Photo of Ally's outfit should be under media on the right hand side if your using a computer)
