You & Me (nh)

My shift got off at 2 today, so I spent about 2 hours after that finishing my coursework.
I have to go over to Hailee's at 6, so I'm gonna get ready now. I doubt this little 'get together' will be anything dressy, so I take a pair of my favorite denim jeans and a cropped white T-shirt.

I do a minimal amount of makeup and throw my hair up in a ponytail. I don't think that anyone needs to wear makeup, but I think it's fun to put it on and cake my face.

I grab my yellow purse and I'm out the door and on the way to Hailee's.

Once I get to her place, I park on the street next to her home and make my way up to the door.
Next thing I know I'm being pulled into hugs left and right by all her family members.

After catching up with them a but, I make my way to find Hailee. She's in the living room on the couch talking to the guests in there. When she finally notices me coming, she gives me a quick wave telling me to come over to her.

"Oh KK ! You look amazing!" she tells me, pulling me into a hug.
"Thanks Hails! So do you dang girl!"
We talk for a while longer and I go around mingling with her family.

"KK come over here! I need to introduce you to someone!" Hailee yells from the other room.
"Excuse me, I'll be back Harriet" I tell her great aunt while I make my way to her.

She's standing with a handsome brunette that I can only see from the back. Oo he got a booty too. DANGGG.

"Kayla, this is Niall. Niall, KK" she gestures toward me and him.
"Hello love, nice to meet you" he extends his hand out for me to shake - even though I obviously know who this man is.
"Nice to meet you as well, you can call me KK" I reply while giving him a firm grip. God, I feel like I'm trying to make a good impression on a parent.

We are all sat around the couch by now. Niall with a guitar in his lap sitting in between Hailee and I. They start to sing along to who knows what as the rest of us join along.

Now how the fuck am I supposed to sing like a goddess instead of the dying squirrel singing voice I have?

Niall and I have actually gotten along quite well which is pretty rare for me. It usually takes me awhile before I'm completely comfortable talking with them by myself, but we've just hit it off. He's incredibly funny, sweet, and charming. And he's sitting right next to me playing the mother fucking guitar and singing like the angels above have finally came down.

As the night goes on, we continue singing and talking about anything and everything with the whole Steinfield family. What a great bunch honestly.

When Niall leaves, he makes sure to give everyone a hug, including me. He felt like a huge teddy bear and his hugs gosh - they're so warm and he smells so good. And this was one hug.

I didn't realize how long I was dozing off for until after I hear Hailee say:
"He's totally into you."

Truthfully, I put Hailee in here because I know her and Niall are somewhat close. I'm not a huge fan of hers, but she helps connect the story line. Thanks for reading.
