"K-koni?" Yoongi's voice cracked when he saw the mother like figure. She gave up her persona she was trying to hold and ran to Yoongi, enveloping the deathly thin boy in a warm hug. Yoongi deeply inhaled her apple and cinnamon scent, which he absolutely loved. It was enough to make him burst into tears again, Koni tenderly wiping them out of his eyes.
"You poor little thing! Why I remember the first day I saw you. You startled me so much I gave Hoseok the rest of the week off. But now, you don't look like you could hurt a fly if you wanted to." Yoongi buried his face into the crook of her neck, yearning for the warmth her body gave off, the warmth that he had been without for so long.
Koni felt the slump of Yoongi and shifted so she could see his face. The hybrid had fallen asleep, his face flushed with fever, mouth slightly open with soft breaths wafting through his lips. Koni gently laid him back onto his bed and looked at the boys who surrounded her, all with jaws dropped of astonishment.
"You lulled him to sleep just like that!" Jin whisper yelled. "Even I can't do that! He always wanted to do things instead of sleep, even the last time he was in the hospital but did you see that?! out like a light!" Koni softly giggled.
"Well I was a mother," She sighed. Jungkook hopped down off of Tae's lap and gently tugged on Koni's sleeve.
"What you mean was?" His eyes were filled with curiosity. Her's with filled with sadness.
"I mean I was a mom, little bunny," Jungkook smiled at the nickname, "My little baby died seven years ago from cancer when she was 17. If she were alive today, she'd be Yoongi's age. Her name was Eunhye, for grace." Jungkook hugged Koni. She heard a small sniff, and realized that Jin had started crying.
"What a cruel world this is. Murder, disease, famine, hate, harassment..." The boy trailed off as his boyfriend cut him off with a kiss.
"Focus on the good, and the good will grow."
"Now ain't that something to live by,"
