Rise of the Snakes: Part One

Long before time had a name, the first Spinjitzu Master created Ninjago using four elemental weapons. But when he passed, a dark presence sought out to collect them all: Lord Garmadon.

So I, Sensei Wu, his brother, sought out to find four ninja to collect them first.

(Y/n) gritted her teeth as she high-kicked the punching bag. She wanted to perfect this move, as it was one that she was struggling with.
She let out a cry as she twisted her body around and applied as much force as she could before huffing in annoyance when it barely did anything.

The opening of a door made (Y/n) look up. Sensei Wu was standing there, gazing around the training grounds with narrowed eyes. Wu nodded to her in greeting and she returned the gesture.

"Do you know where your teammates are?" He questioned, as the boys irritated yells grew louder.

"I think they were inside the gaming room, when I last checked." Wu let out a sigh, before turning on his heel and walking towards the room in which all four boys sat. (Y/n) followed behind, a small amused smile on her face.

Wu slid open the doors to reveal the four boys staring intently at the screen, as they played a video game. Wu turned to (Y/n) and out a finger to his lips, before sneaking past the ninja and towards the socket on the wall.

(Y/n) covered her mouth with her hand to cover her laughter as the boys started complaining at Wu, who had the plug held tightly in his hand.

"Why would you do that? Why?" Jay asked desperately, slumping down in defeat.

"Just because Lord Garmadon escaped through a vortex, doesn't mean he won't return one day for the golden weapons of Spinjitzu." Wu scolded the ninjas.

"But Sensei Wu, ever since he's been gone, Ninjago has had nothing but peace." Zane countered.

" Yeah, peace is boring." Jay added, "There's no one to save. There's nothing to do."

"We can train tomorrow." Cole stated, leaning back on his arms.

Wu surveyed his ninjas with narrowed eyes, "Never put off until tomorrow what can be done today. Take (Y/n) for example, though she is the youngest and has no powers, she trains to improve, instead of wasting time."

(Y/n) beamed with pride while the other rolled their eyes.

"Well," Cole started, "I was gonna eat this pizza tomorrow, so if that's the case..." He opened his mouth before letting out a cry of pain as Wu kicked the pizza out of his hand.

"No pizza for you! In order to reach your full potential, you must train." He ordered.

Kai raised an eyebrow, "Uh, remember we did a little thing called the Tornado of Creation? I thought that was pretty insane."

Wu let out a sigh, "Oh. You four have merely scratched the surface to your full potential." He gazed around at the four boys lying on the floor, " There are still so many secrets you have yet to unlock. You haven't even begun to tap into what power your golden weapons hold."

Cole picked up his scythe, "You wanna talk secret powers? Check this out."
He used the curved blade to pick up the plug and push it back into the socket.
