————————————————————"UGGGGH!" I exclaimed, throwing the headphones off my ears, not caring where it landed. I slumped into the chair behind me. No matter what I did, I couldn't hit this note! And I never had troubles hitting this note before, so why now?
The black walls of the mini studio concealed my screams of frustration. I still questioned how the management got a place with a studio, but it was management, so I never bothered to say anything. The guys didn't bother checking up on me, as they were all caught up with their own duties.
I pulled at my hair, slumping even further into the chair. I could almost hear Jin nagging me about the importance of good posture. I haven't been able to get anything out of my head. The past events just kept on replaying in my head.
Jungkook's avoidance.
(Y/N)'s presence.
The threatening words from management.
The non-stop rumors.
Krystal's angriness and confusion.
The boys' curiosity growing even more than it was before.None of it left me alone. It reflected on my performance. Thankfully, the next concert after that mess of a fanmeet was tomorrow. However, we had to come to terms with the mess, and that scared me.
Since the night of the whole Jee and Yoongi fiasco, and Jimin and Jungkook's 'outing', nothing has entirely been the same.
Jimin and Jungkook seemed to have gotten closer than ever, especially after the outing, entirely leaving me in the dirt. Did they bang or what? Jungkook's avoidance towards me grew stronger than ever.
My head pounded as the thoughts I desperately tried to suppress for so long ate at me like I was a full course meal.
I hesitantly picked up the headphones and placed them back on my head. I sighed. You can do this, Taehyung.
I've had two days to perfect my voice. I've been working nonstop. The studio's walls have been one of the only things I've seen this past week. Tomorrow was Friday, the concert, and I still couldn't get my solo down.
The familiar tune of Stigma started again with a push of a button and I proceeded to sing the first lines. The lyrics reminded me of my grandmother, and I wanted nothing more right now than to just curl in her arms and talk to her about everything.
I knew she would listen.
Building up to the weave snatching high note, I let my voice grow a bit deeper than usual, even thought the song didn't work that way. I needed the reassurance that I could hit the note.
I counted down through the microphone, which without my knowing, echoed throughout our hotel room.
"1. 2. 3."
"GIRL!" Namjoon hollered, almost in a moan-like voice. The familiar, soothing beat of the scarring song covered by Namjoon cut me off completely.
"STOP! THERE'S CHILDREN HERE!" I heard Jin's scolding from the studio, as the music, just before the chorus where everything goes down hill, died down.
