The world goes numb as a bright light envelops the northern region. The people weep over the large number of casualties. Without any explanation, and no possibility to reach point zero... the people begin to call this tragedy "The Void Event", as their loved ones were suddenly snatched away, with nothing left to bury.
The region that now lays barren has been closed off, no one is allowed to venture towards point zero. This, out of fear of the mutated creatures that not only lurk in the fog, but now also roam the wasteland. They are extremely territorial and aggressive, and need to be avoided at all costs.
It might not have been the final nail in the coffin, but tensions began to rise as the public sought someone to point a finger at. The world is against itself, no one is fully trusting anymore, the end draws ever closer. It is only a matter of time before someone fires that first shot, and then... Reckoning.
