3. Decision

Thank you for giving me inspiration to keep writing TarryWritesBooks !! It was my first story and i was kinda nervous..hehe. I was actually going to quit when no one comment on my story but now i can continue since i knew that someone is actually watching and liking my book! So thank you again!

" How long has it been since i came here..?"

It has been over a month since she come and go to her favorite haunt spot, the pond, everday at night. But not exactly everday since she had to take care of her father at home when he had discharged from the hospital few weeks ago.

The first few weeks at the pond was kinda depressing.. since she just sit under the willow tree and let her tears run out. But when Naruto had picked Sakura to go on the mission with at the Hidden Waterfalls village, her tears stop.

Right now, she's just sitting at her favorite spot and knitting her favorite scarf to her favorite blond. (*silently praying that it would be the last*🙏🙏🙏 What?? I mean, she had knit it the whole freaking scarf 3 times you know??)

" I finished it.." she quietly said to herself

She had put a lot of emotion into it. She doesn't mind that it was her fourth times.. She could knit it again and again, 'cause her love for him was unextinguishable..

She doesn't need him to reciprocate her feelings..she just wish that he knew.. wish he knew that there's somebody who truly loves him..for who he is.

But that seems to fail since he grew up believing no one did and developed on his own strength

Which she is very proud of and made her fall in love with him more.

She just wish that he would recieved what she hopelessly felt for him all those years..up until now. All of it, not just a piece which was step on. So that it could at least keep him warm in those cold dark lonely winter night.

" And in the spring... Sakura would be the one who will fill the empty place in his heart."

Thats right.

Hinata had decided it that, she would break up with him

She would set him free.

There will be no burden which would hold him back. He would be able to keep chasing his dream. Sakura Haruno. The girl he has been dreaming since he was at the Academy.

" I know he could do it.. I could see that she had slowly started to give in when she accepted his date offers before he brought Sasuke back.

And i could see that she had started seeing Naruto as a man which full of possibilities and capabilities.

An attractive man"

She knew that.. if she was no longer there.. if she was no longer in his life.. he could take the chance, and he could finally have her..

Small tears ran down her face, into the scarf.

" Ah.."

She quickly put the scarf away and wipe the tears.

" No more tears.. i had promised that i would make him happy. As long as he is happy, then that's enough "

Yeah...that's enough

The light wind blow past her figure as she slowly sit up and start walking to her home. The wind wasn't cold as before, meaning that the spring is near.

And she had to let him go soon.

Because the only place she can stand is in the winter and as it about to end, she had to leave and be replaced by bright full of pink blossoms which will shine brightly shooing all the depressing gloom away, waking with the sun to the better future.

As she walk away, unotice by her, there appear a dark figure, silently watching her retrieving figure from the distance.

The next morning, she came to the spot where they always meet before going on a date. They have been go on lots of date actually, before and after Naruto mission, he had told her the story of his adventure, with Sakura... which she would glady listen.

They were on a date 2 days ago too. And while at it, she had told him that she had something important to say to him.

So now, she is currently waiting  on the bridge, hand clutching the scarf and hugging it. The surroundings was silent and only the sound of the water flowing could be heard.

She doesn't feel nervous actually. She was glad, she had spent almost everyday like a dream past 2 months, he had done more than enough for her and she was satisfied with it.

Now it was time for me to wake up

At that moment, not far from there, Naruto was running up to her, waving his hand frantically. He grin widely at her. At her....

"Oh how i would miss that smile.."

She smiled back. Walking slowly to him.

" Sorry Hinata! I was caught up by Sakura-chan and Ino while on the way here.. Did you wait long?" He asked breathlessly, due to the running.

" No, not at all" she smile warmly.

He could tell that she was lying though

" Sorry Hinata, here i'll treat you with something!"

" Ah.. No Naruto-kun.. Today i just wanted to talk.."

" Huh? Oh..okay? What is it?"

Hinata slowly bring the scarf which she was hiding behind her back out, and starting to carefully tying it around his neck.

" Uh..Oh! Hinata! " Naruto blush. He then just kept staying still and let her tie the scarf around his neck.

" Even though its not really that cold anymore.. I'm sorry, it took a bit longer than i thought." She finished

" No, if it were Hinata made it to me then i would wear it all the year! So thank you Hinata, i promised that i will cherish it. " he smiled brightly at her while feeling the scarf

She smiled happily at it

" Yourwellcome.."

"Is that all?? Then lets go! You made me this scarf so i'll treat you with something!" He grab her hand ready to *drag (haha) her

" Ah no Naruto-kun! There's something..."

" Awww can't that wait?? You can tell me when we're there."

Yeah..maybe i could enjoy a bit more..

..................

No. I have to tell him

She stopped. Making Naruto turn around. She then grab his face with both plams, looking deeply at him.He flush at her bold action

" H..Hinata?? "

She then lean in giving him a light kiss on the lips. He was surprised at first but slowly melting into it until she quickly pull away, much to his liking. She put her hands down.

" Naruto-kun.." she looks up at him emotionlessly

" Y..Yeah?" He began to feel nervous

" I'm sorry..but this is for the best"

At that moment, the unwanted memory flash past him. He start to feel really anxious and afraid at her sudden change of mood.

" I don't want you to force yourself anymore.. I want you to be happy. So Naruto-kun.."

"..........."

"Let's break up"
