"Hey! Hey wake up Eunhee! Wake up unni! We're gonna be late!" Jangmi tried her hardest to wake up her older friend. Although Jangmi doesn't live in the dorms, she visits her friend in the morning- To check on her if she needed to wake her up which she so fervently did often.
"Aishh! Shut up Jangmi..."
"No, you have to wake up now! Pres-unni is gonna kill us! The week after is the start of the festivals, don't you remember? She wants all of us to prepare!!!"
"Crap, I forgot," Eunhee bolted upright and grabbed her uniform. "Get my bag ready, Jangmi," She bluntly commanded and the latter immediately obeyed. They headed out and closed the door, while Eunhee was fixed up her tie and uniform. As if systematically, Jangmi handed Eunhee a prepared sandwich on the way out. She shoved it in her mouth and power-walked with Jangmi to the gym. Jangmi's tiny legs only allowed her to run in order to keep up with Eunhee's fast pace.
"Done," Eunhee gulped down the last bite. "Thanks for the breakfast, Mimi." The elder patted the younger's head. Jangmi only cutely blushed as she opened the door to the gym. To their relief, they arrived on time and the gym was filled with chatter. Embarassing, gut-wrenching silence was the last thing they wanted to hear. Eunhee and Jangmi took a seat in the middle of the gym and waited for an announcement. The teachers hushed the teens like mothers quieting babies. They didn't stop blabbering until loud, booming steps were heard from the stage.
"Shh! Shh! Pres is here! Pres is here!" Many students whispered loudly to the others.
Then all was still and silent.
"Good morning, students," the student council president spoke.
"Good morning, Pres," the students said in unison.
"Next Monday is the start of the school festivals. The schedules will be different this week and your homeroom teachers will guide you accordingly." She paused. "As I have said before, if we want next week to be full of fun, this week must be full of hard work and planning. If you're here to joke around and be—" The student council president was cut off when the sound of the gym door slammed open.
Two boys, two twins to be exact, entered the large room. One's hair was messed up while the other's was perfectly fixed. One's tie was misplaced, while the other's was neatly tucked in his uniform. However, both of their faces wore an expression which loudly read, "Oh you've got to be kidding me." All the students looked to the back at the tardy boys. Some gasped and most of the girls squealed.
Because those two boys were Jo Youngmin and Jo Kwangmin.
Both were nothing but—
"Late," Moon Ah Ri said irritatedly. She tapped her fingers on the podium with a glare. "Come... here," She fingered the twins to come up front. Kwangmin walked up slowly with his head down, but the blondie didn't. He simply grabbed the nearest chair and sat down with his arms crossed.
Hyung! Don't leave me here for the Pres to humiliate me in front of the whole school! Kwangmin stole a glance at his elder brother who sat at the back defiantly.
