Moved (An Omaha Summer)

-Chapter 1-

"Maria it's time to go!" I hear my mom calling me from downstairs. I'm sitting on the floor of my empty room dreading today, the day we move. Going from a big city Chicago to Nebraska is such a big change and I've made so many friends here it sucks to say goodbye. I go downstairs, get in the car, and put my headphones in the whole way.

When we get to our new house I like the street we live on, there's a lot of pretty houses on it. One of the first things that catch my eye were the three boys playing basketball next door. One was blonde and short, but super cute, another had brown messy hair, and the last one was the one that caught my eye the most. He was tall with dark brown hair and tan skin. After a few minutes of sitting outside, I decide to go introduce myself to them. As I'm walking over the basketball hits off the rim and lands in my hands, I catch it and say "Hey I'm Maria, mind if I join you?"

The cute tan one replies, "So you're my new neighbor?" while taking the ball from my hands and shooting a perfect swoosh.

"Yeah, what're your names?"

"I'm jack," he says back. "And that's jack too, we call him jack j," he says pointing and the blonde, "And that's Sam. Most people call me Gilinsky"

"Nice to meet you guys, I'm sure I'll be seeing you guys a lot, but right now I have to unpack, bye!"

As I walk away a car pulls up with two girls in it, one of the girls goes over and hugs Jack j while the other goes and gives Sam a kiss on the cheek.

So I'm thinking Gilinsky is single then since no one came to him? I hope at least...
