Chapter 1

Chapter 1:

I walked into the music store a couple blocks away from my house where I work. I was gonna pick up my paycheck. Then meet my best friend Alexis to get coffee. All of a sudden I see the new guy from my school walking out of the music store.

I was distracted and bumped into him "I'm so sorry" I said "it's ok" he said ,his voice was dark but I felt strangely attracted to it "um hi my names Jane you go to my school right?" I said I felt so stupid why did i have to say that he probably thought i was weird.

"hi my names Scott and yeah i think I've seen you around " he responded, i stood there with my mouth open looking into to his extremely light blue eyes that looked perfect with his dark black messy bed hair.

"well it was nice meeting you ,i hope I see you around" he said , he had a camera around his neck one of those professional ones and took a picture of me and walked away.

what the heck why did he just take a picture of me and worst of all i stood there checking him out like an idiot. From that moment on I couldn't stop thinking about him.

I got my pay check and left the store ,Then I walked to Starbucks inside I saw Alexis and sat down. She already ordered our drinks a carmel macchiato for me and a tall espresso for her.

"hey Jane" she said "hey Alexis" I responded still shocked from my encounter with scott "Hey um Alexis do you know that guy named Scott that goes to our school?" i asked "yeah why? Scott Ciprano he's in our homeroom".

"He is?" I asked "I never noticed him" I responded "well he never talks he's just sits there, he's been here for three days I think he came from a prep school or something" she said

"why the sudden interest in him anyways" she asked with suspicion "oh nothing I just happened to wonder ... Well I gotta go, text you later" I said rushing out of the coffee shop before she asked anymore questions "OK bye" she said .

It was late at night and I was on my way home. Then I saw Scott outside on a porch a couple houses away from mines. I'd never seen him outside of school until today, well twice today.

Their was something that didn't feel right about him. when i got home no one was there ,my mom was always working in California on business trips So I barely ever saw her since my dad died we lived in new york but not the noisy manhattan new york it was pretty quiet around here when Alexis wasn't here anyways. I went upstairs and took a shower and went to lie down.

My vision started to blur ... into dark ,dark black then I saw a blurry version of Scott in my room he said "there's more to me than you think" then the dream crashed and I was woke up all sweaty with my hair all over my face. The dream was so unusual it felt so real like he was actually there...

I was in homeroom ...aka health class when Mr.uski started calling for our attention "excuse me everyone quiet down...ok For this new year I want change...everyone chose the seats their in right now for a reason ,because they know the person next to them and might be familiar with the person next to them..." everyone looked at each other with confused glances "that's why iv'e decided that I'm changing seats".

Alexis and I glanced at each other "Pay attention as I call your name for the change of seats" he said breaking our shocked glances. Alexis was about to protest when Mr.uski said "and no arguing or protesting because it will drastically affect your grade" mr uski said as if talking to Alexis.

Then he spoke again " first two people, Jane Hannagan and Scott ciprano ,second row by the wall " my ears tuned out his voice as he assigned the other seats I was shocked by the fact that out of all the people here in our class he paired me up with Scott I wouldn't even be bothered sitting next to the guy in our class who had dandruff problem and that's saying a lot.

there's something about Scott that I don't trust, I sat in my seat and Scott sat next to me I noticed his beautiful light blue eyes again they're gorgeous compared to my muddy brown eyes that oddly matched my long brown wavy hair but his eyes stand out because of his pitch black hair and he had the most sculptured jaw- He turned my way breaking my train of thought "hey, you're that girl that bumped into me yesterday?" my face turned red as i remembered. he just smiled at me oh god his smile.

Then Mr.uski spoke " you will be doing a project with your new partner and your project will be to get to know your partner this is 50% of your grade so it will depend if you take this class again next year or not". I couldn't even think of the thought of having to "get to know" Scott well this going to be fun... not
