(Hermione's POV)
********************
"Yes Mum, Dad, I have everything I need and I'll write to you as much as I can, don't worry about me," I tell my mother, who has tears in her eyes, and my father, who I've never seen look prouder of me."Ok sweetie, we'll speak to you soon. Don't do anything we wouldn't do," Dad tells me with a wink that I can't help but giggle at. I run off up to the train, heaving my trunk along with me. I'm really struggling to get it on board with me, when I hear a voice behind me.
"Need help with that?" I turn around to see a tall, skinny red-headed boy who looks a bit older than me, not much older though, maybe a third year? He picks up my trunk with no trouble at all and walks through the corridors of the train, trying to find a compartment to put it in for me.
He stops outside a compartment down the fourth corridor and walks in. He's taken my trunk with him so I have no choice but to follow, he holds the door open for me and puts my trunk up above us with three others. I look around to see a dark skinned boy with dreadlocks and another red-headed boy who looks exactly like the one in front of me. The red-head who I've already met must notice my confused look and his eyes go wide in what looks like realisation.
"I'm so sorry, I haven't even introduced myself, I'm such an idiot. I'm Fred Weasley, this is Lee Jordan, my best friend, and this is my twin brother George."
I give him a small smile and extend my hand to him, "Hermione Granger. Pleasure," I say as clearly as I can, but I'm really feeling very uncomfortable with being in a compartment alone with three older boys. Fred smiles at me and gestures for me to sit down, clearly sensing my discomfort, beginning a conversation about Hogwarts, answering any questions I have about the place. The rest of the journey goes great and I think I've made three very good friends already.

I don't know what I was doing bringing this girl to our compartment, but I'm glad I did. I felt like a bit of an idiot when I realised she'd spend a good twenty minutes with me not even knowing who I was, but that was all cleared up pretty quickly and we spent the rest of the journey talking about Hogwarts, and I made sure to answer any questions she had about the place. For some reason I keep seeing Georgie giving me weird looks, I don't know what he's thinking but I'll be sure to ask him later.
(George's POV)
****************
I've never seen Freddie act like this around anyone. I can see he's clearly mesmerised by this girl, he's not taken his eyes off her the whole journey. Something going on with these two, even if they don't realise it, I'm not sure what it is but I'm going to find out what it is and do something about it.
