When i am beside you?

But all i see is a shadow
My friends tell me to run,
But all i feel is numb
I am a bird trapped in a cage

I try to save myself,
But i always end up chained
With my wings tied
I did not realize until now
You tricked me
With your smile
And your open arms

With kind words
until i could not bare
To be alone
I did not realize
