The Search

We all huddled in the front room with the officer. "Where is Brook?" Jack asked. The officer looked at his notes and then back at us. "That's what we need to know. His Mum rang up after he hadn't answered any calls or messages. Then she told me about you and I thought to speak to you." I looked at Kaitlyn as she had her hands over he mouth. "Who's the closest with him?" We all looked at Kaitlyn before she spoke herself. "I'm his girlfriend." I smiled at her and stood next to her. "Is there any place he could have gone to?" She looked at the officer and nodded. "There is one place, I think." She headed out the door and we all followed.
*10 minutes later*
I looked round and recognised where we were. Tears formed in my eyes. Rye looked over to me and I quickly wiped them away. "He brought me here a little bit ago." She smiled as she scanned the place. "He also brought me here when us two wer-"
"We should all look for him then." Rye interupted me. I'm glad he did. I looked at him and cuddled into his chest. "I'll go with Kaitlyn. She will need someone with her." I said. "I'll go as well." Rye piped in. She looked at us and smiled. The officer stood by us and watched as the boys and Kayleigh all separated into groups. "Is there a specific spot, Kaitlyn?" I looked at some rocks near the small lake and remembered the time he brought me here. I started to head in that direction. "Lauren? What are you doing?" Kaitlyn called. I ignored her. It felt like Brook was calling me. I started to pick up my pace. My walk turned into a light jog. My light jog turned into a run. My run turned into a sprint. I didn't stop running. I didn't look behind. I went straight to the rocks. Suddenly, I fell. Rye was holding me closely. "What are you doing, Lauren?" I looked at his eyes before looking at the rocks. "I feel like he is calling me. He's over there." I got up and felt dizzy. I feel like everything I'm saying isnt me. Isn't Brooklyn. We went to the rocks and found our Brooklyn wasn't there. I looked at Kaitlyn as she paced around. She saw me and looked away. Rye went off to the officer and I approached Kaitlyn. "Kaitlyn, I'm sor-"
"No. Lauren, stop. I need some space. My boyfriend is missing and you're saying things that isn't making any sense. We go to where you're saying he could be and he isn't there. Just leave me alone." I watched her as she walked off. "Kaitlyn..." my voice trailed off.
