Sang**
Three weeks later...
It took three weeks to get back to almost full health, i still had the cast on my hand. Andd three weeks to close on the house. In that time, I stayed with Erica and Jessica. I always had one or two of the guys with me all the time and while I enjoyed spending time with them, I felt overwhelmed.
The day we had our sleep over, Erica came home in an odd mood and ever since the boys have been distracted. I wasn't sure what was going on but I knew they were keeping something from me. I tried to do some digging but was always interrupted by the guys.
Instead of worrying about that, I decided concentrate on graduating. My professors sent me all the assignments I needed to finish and my partner projects became solo projects except for one that I did half of the project while my partner did the other half since we had almost finished it. I felt bad that we couldnt meet up but he was very understanding. I was ok with that though, I was always awkward around my partners simply because I didn't know how to talk to people.
I was finally able to move into my house but I promised Gabriel that he could go shopping for furniture with me. We were doing that the next day.
Once I finished up my assignments, I relaxed on the couch, thinking about all of the new changes in my life. I made nine friends in the span of a month. I bought a house and am finally able to move in. I was almost done with school which meant, I could find a job. Things were looking up for me. I only had a few problems and that was dealing with my family.
Just as I was about to get completely lost in my head, Kota poked his into the room. When he noticed that I wasn't asleep or anything he came and sat beside me.
"Hi sang."
"Hey kota." I smiled, perking up. Maybe he's going to be staying here for a while and would be willing to keep me company.
"How are you?" He asked.
"I'm good. Where's everyone else?"
I noticed that when I asked, his smile fell a little and his eyes looked sad. I wondered what made him look like that.
"They are working." He sighed. "I just came by to see if you'd like to go out tonight. If not, I'd totally understand." Kota hurried out.
I froze. Was Kota asking me out on a date or just as friends? I had never been on a date before and was hoping that's what he was asking. The thought of going on my very first date was exciting.
"Never mind." Kota said when I took too long to answer.
"No. I'm sorry. I would love to Kota." I gave him my most sincere smile hoping that it would help him know I was serious.
"Really?"
"Yes, really. What time do you want to go and where are we going so I know how to dress."
"I thought we could go to the museum and then grab a bite to eat if that's OK with you." He suddenly looked unsure of himself and I wanted to make his eyes light up again, the way they did when I told him yes.
"That sounds wonderful." I assured him.
"Great." He beamed. "I'm going to head home and change and then I'll be back to pick you up." Kota turned and hurried out the door.
I tried on three different outfits looking for the right one for a first date. I never thought I would be this excited to go on a date.
From what my step mother drilled into my head, I was to worthless to date. No guy would ever want me, a guy will never ask me out.
