Try

Nights like these

Remind me of the days of peace

The stars in the charcoal sky

Bring me back to you and I

I remember the days we thought we could fly

We would never not try

Explosions rocked the earth

Everything was left in dearth

The trees were screaming through the wind in fright

The entire world was immersed in light

All the animals would flee and die

Now we're separated but I search, I try

Days like these

Are no longer at ease

A fluorescent yellow sky

A whole world between you and I

We repel like magnets, no matter how hard you ply

I used to search but now i'm too tired to try
