Chapter 21: Harry

HARRY: September 15

I like cats cause they are like people but aren't like people.

Here is a nice list of similarities

-they are independent

- they like you after they know you

- they are loyal if they like you

But cats don't judge you based on how much money you have or how you look. Cats are nice to you if you are nice to them. I'm always nice to people and cats but I seem to work better with cats.

Along with having feline friends comes a lot of granny acquaintances but that's a topic for another day.

Liam doesn't know I took his little notepad. I'm bored and don't know of anything else to do. The girlies get to sleep the entire time.

I think I'll draw this black and white cat on the back of this sheet.

The rest of the group keeps asking how I know Zayn but I haven't had the time to tell them.

Zayn was the first guy I met when I came to campus last friday. I didn't know anyone and he seemed really cool. I had two classes with him and he seemed like a friend. I really have no idea how he found out about my family.

That's over now nothing more to worry about.

"Well we are passing by some town ladies and gentlemen. Would you like some brunch?"

Laura looks back to see that I'm the only one up. She parks in front of an IHOP and we jump out.

"It's time to wake up..." I sing as I place a cat's paw on Liam's face. I run the cat's paw up and down his face until he wakes up.

"What the hell Styles?"

I smile dorkily and jump out of the back letting Liam wake up the girls.

He pokes Sophie at the base of her neck and she freaks out and wakes up. With the sudden movement in the car, Annie wakes up too.

"Are we in California yet?" Annie stretches her arms and yawns.

"No we are in Nevada I think." I walk into the IHOP and see that we are in some town called Carson City. Apparently it's the capital of Nevada.

"You mean to say that Las Vegas isn't the capital of Nevada? My life is a lie..." Liam jokingly puts his head in his hands and fake cries.

We order pancakes and get back on the road. We take some abandoned road that is a supposed shortcut to the bay area.

"I'm bored." The cats all fell asleep and we are just watching out the window.

"Can we play never have I ever?" Annie climbs into the back hopefully.

"Sure. You start." Sophie jumps back and tries not to bother any of the sleeping cats or Liam's turtles.

"Okay.... All fingers up. Never have I ever kissed a girl. Now Sophie!"

Liam and I put our fingers down.

"Never have I ever broken someone's heart."

I put my second finger down with a frown.

"Never have I ever gotten in a fight."

Sophie and Annie put down their fingers down.

"Score check!" I exclaim. "Apparently both the girls have gotten in a fight but neither of the boys have. Sophie and Annie have one point and Liam and I have 2 points."

"At least I didn't break someone's heart..." Sophie looks at me coldly and smirks.

"uhhh..... Liam's turn!"

"Never have I ever gotten a B in a class during high school."

"Well aren't you just a goody two shoes Liam!"

Annie and Harry put their fingers down while Sophie and I remain still. Sophie sits and smiles.

"My wittle Sophie was a salutatorian!" Annie pinches Sophie's cheeks and she blushes.

"I was valedictorian..." Liam mumbles humbly. Sophie shoots him a quizzical look and we all smile and giggle.

"Never have I ever had a pet." Annie frowns.

We all put our fingers down.

I'm losing....

"Never have I ever had sex." Sophie blushes.

Annie sighs and puts her finger down and Sophie pushes her over.

They all look at me and suppose that I am lying. "Never have I ever had sex I swear on my life!" I seem like such a player but I'm really not...

My turn.....

"Never have I ever curled my hair. Heh its naturally lush!"

"Damn you Hazz!" Annie puts her last finger down.

The car begins to sputter as we pass another city.

"We seem to be experiencing techincal difficulties guys!" Laura pulls the car over and Larry jumps out to check the engine and opens the hood to have a cloud of smoke fly out.

"We only have one tank of gas guys.... And we need to lighten the load. I'm really sorry but we are going to have to let you go here." Laura hands us 50 dollars and we step out of the car. 50 bucks won't get you far when you are at in the desert.

We get out of the car and Liam and I sigh. "Bye bye fluffies!"

"Bye bye Lancelot and Lagiacrus!"

"Well you seem to really like these animals. You can take a turtle and a cat if you wish.

Liam squeals with joy. I have never seen him this happy. He takes a turtles and a small tank.

"Thanks so much! Hello Lancelot!"

"They don't allow cats in the dorm...But since when have I cared about rules?"

We step out of the car and they drive away. We walk a couple of miles along the highway and Liam carries his small tank. He wanted the turtle and I wanted my kitty cat.

I named her Louise after the guy I met in my biology class named Louis Tomlinson. We have become pretty good friends during the week but I hardly know the guy.

"Looks like we are going to have to hitchhike again." Its about 4:30 right now and we are in Roseville.

"We have 50 bucks. Do you think they will have a bus to San Francisco?"

"$25 per ticket to Oakland that's close enough."

"Harry there are four of us and only fifty bucks and we are broke. None of us brought any money to the party and I only had thirty bucks to buy us lunch." Liam scowls at me.

"Well Annie and I can just ride back to Oakland, get my car, and come back to pick you guys up tomorrow."

"NO!" they all yell all yell simultaneously.

"We can find a way to make money in the center of town." Annie looks hopeful with a grin on her face.

"Well I was the head of my choir back on england..." Liam has a mischievous grin.
