Sitting on the porch swing with my legs propped on a pillow that was sitting on my friend Asley's lap.  At school today she was my helper.  She got a pass to help me get from one class to the next.  And at lunch she gave the task to Corey.  Since my family knows about him we decided no reason to hide our friendship.  Corey doesn't hold my hand or take posesion over me except when Robby is around.  This is why I say friendship and not relationship.  We have no rush to start an emotional attatchment to each other yet.

"So are you ready for Saturday?  Is Corey taking you or are you going alone?"

"Well until I broke my foot we planned on just meeting at the dance, but now he wants to pick me up to make sure that I am not left alone.  It is really sweet of him but I don't think my mom will approve.  She still thinks your brother and I should fix things.  She said that if I wasn't such a bitch that Robby wouldn't have left me."

She was silent for a while.  It seemed as though she was hiding something from me.

"What is it Ashley?  Listen I don't want to drag you into this but I don't like secrets and lies especially from someone who is supposed to be my best friend."

I know that I was putting her in a bad situation but I was not going to put up with sneaky people.

"Okay, there is something that is key to the random break-up but I can't tell you.  When the time comes you will know but this is not my place to say anything. I am sorry."

She stood up and started to walk towards the stairs to leave.  I know I put her in a hard spot but calling after her was not going to help.  We both needed our space, and When the time comes we will talk again.  That was a good thing about us we could get mad and walk away but the next day we were buddy buddy.

My brother Asher walks out to the porch.

"Mom said to come help you inside for dinner.  Robby is here so I told her that I would bring out your food and sit with you."

He handed me a plate of food and left to get his. As he came back out he had a smile on his face.

"Thank you for sitting with me but you don't have to.  I am able to be on my own if you want to go sit in with the conversation."  I knew he would rather hang out with the family instead of sitting on the porch with me.  He has a big heart and always wants to help the needy. "I am sorry if I have been distant lately with everyone.  With mom chosing Robby over me it is difficult to handle.  I just made Ashley made and now I am making you sit out here with me when all I am going to do is complain."

"Amanda if I didn't want to sit out here with you I wouldn't.  I don't think it is fair that mom has been treating you so horrible.  None of this is her business."

That was all that was said as we ate our spinach pizza.  One thing was mom was a great cook.  She did a bunch of research on recipes to feed the family that is good for you and tastes great. After we both finished our food it was getting dark.  He grabbed our plates and took them in.  I noticed the porch light got turned on, I was just not ready to go inside yet.  Tomorrow would have been our three year and I just could not face him.

I heard the stairs creek and looked up from the game I was playing on my phone.  It was Corey, but I didn't see his car on the street.  I looked up and down it I know he didn't walk here that is a good hour walk.

"I heard you might need some company."

"Where is your car?"  I was smiling at the handsome face that appeared in front of me but a questioned look was still on my face.

"I parked it down the street a ways so you wouldn't hear me."

He motioned to my legs and helped me lift my broken foot.  The cast made it super heavy, he sat just like Ashley had a while ago. I didn't realize how much I had missed him in that short amount of time.  My heart had been aching and I thought it was because of the doomed day tomorrow, the pain left the moment he sat next to me.

"Ashley sent me a message on Facebook that you guys got in a heated conversation earlier and that you may need company because Robby is here."

I reached for his hand and looked straight into his eyes, "thank you I needed to see a smile.  Asher came out here and ate dinner with me because mom wanted Robby to stay for dinner.  But you help make things easier."

I felt strange saying this words to him knowing we weren't anything but as he squeezed my hand I knew that it was the perfect things to say.  We started leaning into each other and he had his hands on either side of my neck.  We started kissing as I noticed my front door started to open.  I didn't stop the kiss I was enjoying it way more than I should to care who would see.  As we were exploring every inch of each others mouths.

"Mm mm mm"  It was a male voice, not dad's or Andy's and definately too deep to be the younger boy's voice.  I didn't let it disturb us we had fireworks going I am sure people on the other side of the world saw.

We finally broke apart to breathe to hear Robby start talking.

"You know this is rude to be making out in front of your recent ex-boyfriend."

"Bye Robby."  That was all I side while still looking into Corey's eyes with a smile of relief on my face.  He is mine!  I can call Corey mine finally.  I have wanted him since the first time I talked to him I think.
