"Nirvana! Dude, get up and off your ass! It's your last first day of high school, you little shit and you don't need to miss it!" Jerome yelled from across the hall
"Do you have to fucking scream! What time is it anyway?" I grumbled to him
"7:45!" He yelled this time only purposely
I dragged myself out of my own misery . I flung Jerome's door open with a loud bash.
"You're a bitch, you know that?" I glared up at him.
"Yeah,I know" he smiled wildly.
Jerome wasn't my brother or anything, but he was the closest I had to a family. Him and his mama,Ms. Jennifer took me in about a year ago. At first I remember thinking it was all out of pity, but for the first time in my life that I can remeber I was wrong. It was out of true love and compassion. They were good people with good hearts and I'm so blessed they came into my life.
"Niri baby, are you hungry?" Ms. Jennifer sang.
"No thank you,I just don't feel perticualy yearning for anything." I returned but that wasn't the whole truth.
Me and Arizona went to a rave last night and boy was it fucking ridiculous! They're were so many good sprits and free drugs, I mean how could I say no? But long story short I got shitfaced and I know for certain that I wasn't going to be able to hold down a meal.

I stepped out of the car to greet the crisp September air. I was happy to say this is the last time I'd be stepping on to Lexington High School campus for a first day again, and what I was happiest about is that in 9 month I would be free to live my life to the fullest. To be free, and no longer be confined by the chains of childhood.
I walk through the doors and into the cafeteria to recite my schedule for the year when a tall peppy blonde came bouncing my way and of course it was none other than the Rain Smith,my arch enemy since the 2nd grade when she dipped the ends of my hair in glue, but then she shared her sixty-four pack crayons and I decided I would deal with her and to be so honest I was almost completely okay with her in middle school until she joined the cheer squad and was screaming about school spirit and jumping around every goddamn chance she got.
"Oh my god Nivana, hello! It's been forever, hasn't it?"
"Thankfully, yes!" I said as I shot her a sarcastic smile.
"Aw Nirvana, that's no way to act! Put a little pep in your step! Do you want me to do a cheer for you to cheer you up? Because I'd be more tha-"
"No,really that's fine." I barked as I pushed past her
"Oh okay, but if you change your mind you know where I'll be!"
"I doubt it but whatever!" I projected back firmly as I made my way up to the stage where I faced Mrs. Bee, the only person that has it out worse for me than anyone.
"So nice of you to show up,Miss Anderson." She gleamed with a nasty, sarcastic tone.
"That's what your suppose to do on the first day of school,if I'm not mistaken" I muttered back
"I'd just thought you'd have something more exciting to do,you know? Like smoke marijuana in the restroom?" She said back.
"Ah! I knew I was forgetting to do something" she gasped and opened her mouth to speak and I just shut her down. "Have a nice day,Mrs. Bee" as I stomped offstage
"Nirvana! Yo,hold up!" Arizona yelled to me.
"Walk faster! I've got places to be." I insisted
"You're going to want to listen to what a have to say or per say what I have to try."
" And what is that, Miss Grey?" I stopped cold in my tracks and questioned
"You know how you've been wanting to get your hands on some TrainWreck kush?"
"Yes." I answer excitedly
"Well let's just say I came through on that one." She smiled widely
"Are you serious? You better not be fucking with me, Arizona!"
"No, you fagbag! I'm being legit. I thought you might want to get a taste." She winked at me as she slipped me the baggie
"Boy,do I? " I grinned wide "We'll have to come back at lunch, but as of right now let's go try this bad boy on for size" I eagerly held the bag between my fingers as me and Arizona made a run for the door.
