When I woke up, I was in bed. Not with Adrienne, not in my bed. Panic set in as I figured out I must have passed out, but cheated on my wife. I groaned and pulled myself up, looking for her name in my phone.

It was gone.

I frowned and looked for Tré's name, but that was gone too.

I felt a bit of relief as I saw Mike's name, and I dialled him, waiting for the answer.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Mike. It's Billie." He was silent for a while.

"Billie Joe.. Armstrong?" I frowned.

"Yeah. Mike are you okay?"

"Yeah, you just called a bit out of the blue. How are ya?"

"Out of the blue? I saw you last night. I was hoping you'd be able to tell me what I did."

"Billie Joe, I haven't seen you in like 5 years."

I froze and rubbed my head.

"5 years?"

"Yep."

"...Yeahokaysorryforbotheringyou," I hung up and looked around.

What the fuck was going on? No Adrienne, no Tré. Mike wasn't in my life anymore. What the fuck?

Then I remembered the fan. And it hit me. One year. If I could have my dad back. No music career.

I pulled my phone out and googled 'Green Day'. There were no photos of us, no music or music videos. The Green Day website didn't exist.

I quickly brought my contacts up and scrolled through, seeing 'Home'. I called and held the phone up to my ear. My mom answered.

"Hello?"

"Hi mom. Is.. is dad there?"

"Yeah. Give me a second." I froze as she walked off, obviously finding him. I waited as my heart thumped in my chest.

"Hello?"

It was my dad. He was there. I burst into tears straight away. "Hey squirt, you okay?"

"Yeah yeah I'm fine. Are you okay?" I asked, shaking as I spoke.

"Yes, we're both fine. Aren't you going to be late for work?"

I frowned, freezing. "Work? We have stuff to do in the studio?"

He went quiet for a while. "School, Billie. You work in a school. Are you feeling alright?" I widened my eyes.

"School? Pinole Valley High School?" I asked, knowing that my old high school was the only one close to where I lived.

"Yep, that's the one."

"Fuck, yes I am going to be late."

I said goodbye and hung up, putting on a suit that I found in the wardrobe.

Walking through my crappy house, I discovered I also had a crappy car.

I drove to school quickly, getting out and going inside just before the bell went.
