The rest of the dinner was quite. Well for Taehyung it was. He talked once in a while, but only when he was being talked to. He didn't want to think about what happened before. How it has affected him so easily. There was a flame at the pit of his stomach. One that kindled. Not a big one but it was still there. He groaned internally and he finished up his dinner. Just because he was sad, doesn't mean he wasn't going to eat.

Jungkook did talk with him, but Tae gave him short responses.

Tae, what's wrong?

He looked up to Jimin as the other linked him

Nothing is wrong. I'm just tired..yeah tired.

He watched Jimin roll his eyes and giggled quietly, Jimin being able to cheer him up instantly.

And that was that.

Tae should be leaving soon and Jungkook was scared. He didn't want to let the other go. But the other was quiet all of a sudden. First he's happy when playing games, then he gets all quiet. Jungkook has never been so frustrated before. Especially because he still hasn't found out what kind of wolf Tae is.

He sighed to himself and looked at the clock in the dining room. Then his mom linked him. What the f-

Jungkookie, why is Taehyung so...down?

I don't know he responded as dessert was served

The last thing I said before he went quiet was about you finding your mate

And that's when it hit Jungkook. That Tae does feel something. But he still doesn't know.

Mrs. Jeon must've noticed this because she mouthed a 'what' in his direction.

Mom, Tae is my mate but he doesn't know

Jungkook wanted to laugh at his mom's expression but only shoved cake into his mouth.

"Ah excuse me, I uh, need to talk with Jungkook?" She said unsurely and Jungkook giggled, shockingly. But he stood up and followed her into the kitchen.

"What the fuck Jeon"

"Why are you calling me by our last name?" He asked, emphasizing the our.

"Are you going to tell Taehyung that he's your mate?"

"Why the hell would I do that. Mom I don't want to make it seem like I'm forcing him into this. I have been waiting for my mate for a long time I know. But, now actually having a mate, I want him to be happy. I can wait a little longer for him"

His mom had her hand over her heart and a big smile on her face. He made a 'tf' face and she laughed. "You have grown so much. I'm so proud of you my son. You make us proud. And but the way, your father needs you to stop by the company because he doesn't want to and also because some people applied for the job".

Jungkook nodded and walked back out, his mom trialing behind before taking his seat. Tae didn't even look at him. And he felt possessiveness bubble inside of him as he saw Tae talking to Hobi. The latter just smirked at him.

He slumped in his chair defeated.

The Kims walked out, the Jeons following behind as they talked a bit more. The time he dreaded has come. Jimin was giggling as Yoongi peppered his face with kisses, Jin was telling Namjoon to behave as they hugged and Hobi was talking with Tae. Jungkook watched though, as the Hoseok ruffled Tae's hair before walking elsewhere. Not forgetting to throw a wink at Jungkook. The alpha rolled his eyes but walked up to Tae slowly, still not getting over how Taehyung only reached his shoulder in height.

Taehyung turned around and tilted his head before averting eye contact. Looking somewhere else.

"My little Tae Tae..."

Tae then peeked up through his lashes to look at Jungkook, knowing he can't ignore the older one.

"Yes Kookie?"

Jungkook's heart did flips as he looked at Tae with admiration.

"Get home safely alright, and be careful always. I'll be lonely if something happens to you" Jungkook complained, pouting.

Tae only giggled and looked at Jungkook fully. "I promise to be careful. And you have to promise to come to my birthday next week okay?"

"I promise angel"

Tae turned pink and then skipped off once his parents called him. Namjoon pecked Jin's lips before following too. Taehyung turned around though. And waved to Jungkook. The alpha smiled brightly and waved back, watching as Tae disappeared into the limo.
