Melissa's p.o.v

When I woke up the next morning (witch was too early), I checked my phone and saw that it was 6:16. I texted Dahvie.

"Were out today ;P"

He must have been up too because he texted me back right away.

"Can't wait :D"

I smiled and locked my phone. I turned to my side and tightened the covers over me. I closed my eyes for 5 minutes but decided I was too existed to sleep so I took out my phone again. I started watching Emma Blackery on YouTube when I got a text from Dahvie.

"Are you too existed to sleep too?"

"Yea"

I pause. Thinking about what to say. Finally I said, "When do we leave this hell?"

"11:00 maybe. I assume. That's when they make you leave at hotels anyway."

I laugh a little. Logic to Dahvie sometimes concerned me a little. He's special that's for sure. I remember when we were about 18

~flashback begins~

and his parents took us camping on a private site his grandpa owned. We went on a trail walk right when the sun was going down.

"You better bring a flashlight young man." Dahvie's mom said.

"The sun is still up a little I'll be fine." he replied.

"Alright I'm not arguing with you." she says. "Sweetie if he needs a flashlight will you share with him." she said looking at me.

"Yes I will." I said laughing at Dahvie.

"I don't, need, a flashlight" he said. he was a little mad. We started walking trough the woods. I loved that woods so much, I don't know exactly why though. Everyone thinks all woods look similar but, this one was different from any others. Bunnies, dear, and raccoon roamed everywhere. All kinds of trees. sounds normal don't it? It wasn't. Something about that forest wasn't ordinary. And to this day I still don't know why. We got pretty far in when it started getting dark. Dahvie, who was in front suddenly was behind us.

"Need a flashlight yet?" I asked.

"Noppe. I'm good!" he replied. Almost tripping over a branch.

"Okay." I said laughing at him.

We kept walking when we came upon a fallen tree on our trail. While Dahvie struggled, we all climbed over.

"Come on Dahvie!!!" his dad yelled.

"I'm coming, I'm coming." he said.

We all giggled we knew he was coming near the tree. Are flashlights all shined the other way to make sure he couldn't see. I turned around because I knew it was coming. suddenly there was a loud 'THUMP' sound. Lucky he cough himself so he laid over the tree with his hands on the ground. After a while though his arms gave in and he fell to his side on the ground. We all died laughing as he rolled on the dirt trail a little. Finally his mom got him up. He was fine, just a little wind knocked out of him.

His mom told him to walk near me and share a flashlight. This time he did. Just to piss him off a little I asked "Do you need one yet?" He looked at me a little and gave me the death stare but then looked back at the ground and mumbled just so I could hear it, "Shut up." I couldn't help but to burst out in laughter.

That was a really fun trip. We made s'mores and cough frogs at a creek. We stayed up all night telling scary stories. Dahvie slept in different tents and all that.
