“I'm sorry baby,” I looked over and knew I fucked up. “Uh, Esco. I'm sorry. I ain't gone be able to make it.”
“Damn ma what the fuck? I'm pullin on yo street right now.”
“My fault for real. I would've called you earlier but I just got the word and had to run out. I gotta go handle something that can't wait. When I can, I'll call you.” I light weight felt bad hearin the concern in his voice.
“Shid you cool? Anything I can or need to do?”
“Na ba-Esco. I'm cool right now. I'll call you though.” I disconnected before he could ask any more questions. Ion like havin to lie to nobody so I rather not put myself in that position.
“Baby though? That's baby?” A laugh filled the car right then but I knew good and well wasn't shit funny. I kept my eyes on the road cause I ain't feel like it. Argue I was not about to do with this mufucka. “You don't hear me? That's baby?”
“He who I call him. Baby happened to be what I picked.”
“In my face though?”
“That shit wasn't like that damn, quit reachin.” My attitude was pickin up cause I was startin to get pissed. This fuck ass mufucka gon pop the fuck back up after a whole fuckin year and feel some type way cause I called a mufucka baby?! Na. That shit dead. I ain't even about to feed into this bullshit.
“Reachin?! You just called another nigga baby in my fuckin face and I'm reachin?! What kinda shit is that?!”
“I ain't doin this shit wit you Kar! It's ova. Ion know what the fuck you want me to tell you but I'm good. Ion know what make you think this shit is okay but it ain't. So next subject or I can drop you back off to yo car and gone about my fuckin business. Period.” We pulled to a red light and I stared this mufucka down like I would never see nothing else cause now, this shit got me fucked up.
“Shut up and drive. The light green.”
“Fuck this light.” I hit the gas hard as fuck sendin Kar back into the leather seat of my Lexus.
“You ain't funny mufucka.” This nigga was salty.
“Whatever.” I mumbled back wit my eyes on the road.
“Pull in here.” I did as instructed and pulled into the Howard Johnson Hotel in Fairfield. I jumped out slammin that door hard as fuck.
“Can I get a room?” I asked the front desk girl still irritated. She looked at me and rolled her eyes. Ignoring me she went back to her phone conversation. Oh! People were really fuckin pushin it tonight! “Eh bitch!” I raised my voice. “Can I get a fuckin room or na damn!” I had her attention now.
“You ain't gotta act ignorant. I was comin.” The lil bitch gon get smart hangin up the phone and comin over.
“You got me standin here like a fuckin lame and I know you heard me. You looked right the fuck at me.”
“I didn't hear you.” She gon say feigning innocence. “I was on the phone with my manager damn. I was comin.”
“No the fuck you wasn't.” I argued
“Man do you want this room or not? I ain't got time to be arguin wit no lil ass kid. Matta fact, let me see yo I.d.”
“I wish the fuck I would. Girl give me some fuckin keys and check me in.” I rolled my eyes at her.
“Girl I ain't givin you shit. Take yo young ass on outta here.” Now she was gettin tough cause she knew I wasn't old enough to be buyin no room, but she had me fucked up. I was gettin those keys, even if I had to beat her ass.
