Ch. 5

I sit there for about a minute or two before I hear someone walking towards me.
I just sit there praying it's not Miles.
The person gets closer, and I realize it was just Jess.
I let out a sigh of relief.
Jess: "What's up with you?"
The tone in her voice made it seem like she was mad.
Me: "Huh?"
Jess: "Why are you being a jerk?"
I just stare at her confused.
Jess: "I understand seeing Miles for the first time again may be a little weird to you, but that doesn't mean you have to be an ass"
Me: "Woah, since when did you become on his side"
Jess: "Well when you left your best friend and ex boyfriend, we became friends"
Me: "And you didn't tell me this why?"
Jess: "To be honest, you stopped talking to me after you left"
I look down, I mean she was right, I disconnected with everyone when I left.
Me: "I'm sorry Jess"
She had a weak smile on her face and walked over, sitting down by me.
Jess: "Look, Miles is a good person"
Me: "You don't think I know that?"
Jess: "I just think, you should tell him"
I just look at her.
Jess: "About Raegan"
Me: "Yeah"
Jess: "And you should give him a chance, to at least become friends with him"
Me: "Yeah.........."
Jess: "And tell Raegan about Miles, you owe him that too"
Just then I see my dads car pull in the school driveway.
I stand up.
Me: "Thanks"
Jess: "Wait where are you going?"
Me: "Home"
Jess: "The Days not over"
Me: "Well like you said, I have things to tell people"
Jess: "But Miles is inside"
Me: "Starting with Raegan"
Jess: "Isn't he at school still?"
Me: "He has off today"
Jess: "Oh.."
Me: "Yeah.. but I'll text you later"
Jess: "Okay"
She says giving me yet another weak smile while I get in the car.
The car ride home was pretty silent.
A couple minutes before we got home my dad speaks.
Dad: "You're not really sick, are you?"
I stayed quiet for a moment or two.
Me: "No.... I'm not"
I could tell he wasn't mad, just confused.
Me: "It's just it was a rough day, and I -"
Dad: "You don't have to explain. I understand if you just need a day"
I took a Breathe and gave a week smile.
Me: "Thanks Dad"
We get home and the first thing I do I go up to my room.
I flop down on my bed, and close my eyes for a second.
I lay there for about 5 minutes when I realize if I continue to lay here, Ima fall asleep.
I get up walking over to my desk, grabbing my computer.
Then back over to my bed, sitting down while opening it up.
I FaceTime Raegan, and he picks up pretty fast.
Raegan: "Babe?"
Me: "Hey"
Raegan: "Aren't you suppose to be at school?"
Me: "Yeah......"
Raegan: "Alright sooo?"
Me: "The beginning of the day was kind rough, so I came home"
Raegan: "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, are you okay?"
Me: "Yeah.. I guess"
Reagan: "Well what all happened?"
Me: "That's actually what I have to talk to you about"
Raegan: "What?"
Me: "I had a rough day today because a person?"
Raegan: "Okay.."
Me: "A person I didn't think I'd see again"
Raegan: "Okay why are you being weird?"
Me: "Weird?"
Raegan: "Yeah, you're not talking normal"
I take a deep breathe.
Me: "Me and my ex were talking today, and some things went down"
Raegan: "Ex?"
