A Boy Named Rae: The Sequel

Ch. 2

Jess: "Mmmmm. Very interesting" she says laughing as she starts walking to her next class.
I follow behind her.
Me: "I mean when I'm talking to him, I lose track of time"
Jess: "Yeah, yeah, we get it, your in love, no need to rub it in to the lonely"
Me: "Don't worry, you'll find someone eventually" I say jokingly.
Jess punches my arm.
Jess: "Yeah, sure"
We get to class sitting near each other, I pull out my text book for the class, along with a notebook. The teacher hasn't walked in yet, so I sit there waiting.
As I do that, my phone buzzes, I pull it out of my pocket, it was a text from Raegan.
*You're cute*
I replied back.
Me: *You're cuter*
Raegan: *Umm, I'm not sure about that*
Me: *Its only the truth*
Raegan: *Don't you have school*
Me: *Yes, sadly*
Raegan: *Well pay attention*
Me: *The teachers not even here yet, anyways it's gonna be boring like always*
I mean I'm not lying, there's nothing interesting that happens at my school. I mean to some people, I guess I'm the interesting thing.
Raegan: *Well text me at lunch or something*
Me: *Will do*
I smile, turning my phone off, putting it back in my pocket. I look up from my screen, then something caught my eye. A boy walked into a room with his friend, a girl. I knew who he was.
His eyes meet mine, his eyes light up when he sees me, instantly walking over to me.
Boy: "Justin, it's really you?"
He said as a question and a statement.
Me: "Yep, it's me"
Boy: "I heard you were back, didn't believe that"
Me: "Why?"
Boy: "I mean I haven't seen you around I thought it was just a rumor"
Me: "Nope, it's really me, back here"
Boy: "Well how are you?"
The girl interrupts.
Girl: "Hey my names Hannah, Miles likes to not introduce me to people"
Me: "Hey Hannah, nice to meet you. And I'm good"
Boy: "That's good, to be honest with you, I've missed you"
"I've missed you" those words go through my head, not sure I liked hearing those words.
Hannah: "Wait, how do you know each other? Old friends or something"
Me: "Ye-"
I was gonna day yeah, but he interrupts me right away.
Miles: "Me and Justin used to date, before he moved Maryland."
Hannah: "Oh"
Miles: "Yeah, but now he's back."
Me: "Yeah, I'm back."
