Hello. My name is Sofia and I'm 18 years old. I was born in the Dominican Republic. My father was Italian and my mother was both Dominican and Perican. Before I could remember my family moved me to Texas and I had a great simple life. When I was 6 I didn't talk much because I didn't want to be bullied for my accent. This led me to a social anxiety I had for 5 years. Enough of all the background, now is when my life changed forever.
One summer my dad and I found out about my moms seductive affair. This made my dads anger issues go off the roof for at least 7 months. Then for two months things were great between them. Little did we know the man my mother had an affair had fell in love and began to stalk her. When my dad was at work, the man showed up and jumped him. That night my dad got drunk off his socks when my mom came home they got into a messy argument. He pulled out a gun, strangled her, and threatened to shoot her in the head. I ran out of the house calling the police and praying my mother would make it. The police busted in my house, arrested my father, and rescued my mother. We both didn't feel safe so my mom transferred to their new building in my Miami, and we moved in with my moms cousin ( Garza )and her kids ( Rebecca and Antonio). Their father died serving in Iraq. I went through middle school then dropped out and joined online school for high school. At this time my old friend in Texas, Aida, was kicked out by her mother after finding out she had used some drugs, her dad was caught smuggling. My mother was fond of Aida and let her stay. Me and Aida would babysit together and take turns watching the kids and doing school work. At night Aida, Antonio and I would sneak out and get involved with ghetto activity. We drank vodka and smoked all are problems away.
In Texas it was warm and sunny but I was very pail because there wasn't much time to tan. In Miami I'm very Sunkist so pictures are very different. That enough explaining my life, now it's time for the present.
