In class I had to do an exercise were you had to describe/tell someone about the cold without saying it is cold. I had 6 minutes to do this so don't judge and we didn't have time to edit it though so her is my attempt.
Where I live we ski all year around. We never go swimming or else you freeze. You must wear a ski jacket all year round, even in summer. Instead of trying to block the sun, we welcome the warmth of it. Instead of grass in our front lawns we have snow. In my hometown there is a blizzard warning almost every day. Hopefully one day we can have a warm summer day like other towns. Every morning I need to grab 2 jackets before I leave. My dog, a Siberean Husky begs to come inside everyday when he sees someone pass the door. One thing someone in my town never wants tohappen is for their heat to go out. A lot of foreigners come to this town for a winter vacation because it is like a winter wonderland. Dresses and sleeveless shirts are never worn. This is the town of Winterton.
