"Hyung, do you have time to finish this track or..." The deep voice of his best friend pulled him out of his thoughts. The dark haired man looked up from the computer and glanced at the blonde. He blinked for a second and glanced at the time.

"Oh shit!" He exclaimed realizing what time it was. "I'm supposed to meet with DaeHee's teacher today..."

"It's okay, hyung... we can work on it tomorrow?" The blonde stated as he nodded his head, understanding completely.

"I'm sorry, Joon. I totally forgot."

"It's fine, I promise. Tell DaeHee I said hello..." He grinned and watched as the single father collected his things and headed out of the studio in a rush.

Yoongi had been meaning to meet up with DaeHee's teacher since school started, but unfortunately his schedule with work didn't always allow it. Namjoon was working on is next album and they had been working on it tirelessly.

This had all been so much easier a year ago when he wasn't doing it all by himself. He realized now how much pressure he had put on his late wife and he regretted that he never got to tell her that he was thankful for everything she did for him and for DaeHee.

He pushed those thoughts away as he climbed into his car and headed to DaeHee's school. She spoke highly of her teacher and Yoongi was excited to finally meet him. DaeHee was quiet, but she was smart. She was a bit like him in the sense that it took some warming up for her to get used to people, but once she was comfortable, you saw another side of her.

Pulling up to the school, he quickly jumped out of the car and all but ran inside. He was running behind and he felt awful about forgetting the meeting, he hoped that her teacher would understand.

He padded down the hall to the classroom he dropped her off at every morning. The door was open and he poked his head inside seeing his daughter DaeHee sitting on the ground and having what appeared to be a tea party with several of the stuffed animals from the classroom and a tall, slender man.

Yoongi stood there for a moment taking in the scene before him. His daughter was pouring a cup for the man in front of her, the mop of light brown hair hung in the man's face but it didn't take away from the beauty that Yoongi saw. The man was probably one of the most handsome men he'd ever had the pleasure of looking at.

The large smile that was plastered on his face as he clasped his large hands together in excitement over whatever DaeHee was saying. The way his eyes lit up as he looked at the little girl. It made Yoongi's heart flutter and his stomach twist in knots. It was hard not to fall in love with little kids, but you could tell when people were putting on show and this man wasn't. He was genuinely enjoying the time that he was spending with DaeHee.

He cleared his throat and knocked on the door, he didn't want to interrupt but at the same time he didn't want to look like the irresponsible parent that was late to the parent-teacher conference either.

"Sorry I'm late." He bowed slightly as a sign of respect to the man who looked up when he heard the knock.

DaeHee's body jumped up from her spot on the floor, "APPA!" She ran to him, wrapping her arms around one of Yoongi's legs tightly.

"Hello, Angel... how was your day?" He asked quietly as he stooped down to get eye-to-eye with her.

"It was sooooo good, Appa!" She exclaimed, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck.

Yoongi smiled warmly and wrapped his arms around her tightly, taking a minute to enjoy the sweetness behind his daughter's actions. He stood up, pulling DaeHee in to his arms and adjusting her on his hip as he crossed the room to the taller man, smiling at him.

"It's nice to finally meet you, DaeHee speaks very highly of you, I'm Min Yoongi."

DaeHee's teacher smiles back and offers a bow and then his hand, "I'm certainly glad to hear that. I'm Kim Taehyung. It's very nice to meet you, as well."

Yoongi couldn't seem to break eye contact with the gorgeous man. There was something about him that demanded attention and he couldn't deny that. Yoongi placed DaeHee down and looked at her with his usual gummy smile.

"Why don't you play here while Appa speaks with your teacher, Angel?" He asked her as she simply nodded her head and went back to playing with the stuffed animals that she and her teacher had been playing with.

Yoongi smiled and rested a hand on the top of her head for a minute before returning his gaze to Taehyung. The teacher grinned cheekily and motioned to his desk at the front of the class.

"I'm glad you got a chance to come in," Taehyung stated as he took a seat at his desk, Yoongi took the seat in front of it. "From what DaeHee says you have a very busy job. You work in music?"

"Yes, I'm a producer..." Yoongi nodded his head a little bit.

Taehyung's eyes widened slightly and he smiled, "Oh wow, she underplayed it a little bit." The teacher blushed slightly and looked down at his hands and then back up to the young girl's father. "She's a very bright girl, your DaeHee."

"Thank you." Yoongi nodded his head slightly, pulling his bottom lip between his teeth.

"I don't really have much to tell you, but I wanted to meet with you. I wanted to see the man behind the wonderful little girl that lights up my classroom everyday." Taehyung smiled softly, his gaze moving from Yoongi to the little girl playing behind him.

"So, she's doing okay in class?" Yoongi inquired curiously as he looked over his shoulder to see DaeHee playing quietly by herself.

"She's perfect. I think she's actually ahead of most of the other kids in the class. She's a great help, she's well behaved and helps out other students." Taehyung did nothing but praise DaeHee and Yoongi smiled softly.

"That's really great to hear, I was worried how things would be this year after everything that she's been through." Yoongi ruffled his hair absently, letting out a soft sigh.

"I... I read her file... and I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. She shows no major behavioural signs of trauma, she's adjusted very well." His voice lowered slightly and Yoongi forced a small smile.

"Thank you, I always worry that it will hit eventually... the time just hasn't come yet." The dark haired man fiddled with his fingers and then back to the light haired teacher.

"She's very special, I'm truly honored to have her in my care." Taehyung stated, his tone was kind and genuine.

"I think she's pretty special, too." Yoongi smiled and licked his lips.

"We have a talent show coming up in a few weeks, she was interested in doing something... but she wasn't sure if she'd be able to participate..." He pointed to her and then glanced back to the young father.

"Oh? Well, if its something she wants to do, I'll make it work. I always do." Yoongi stated and tilted his head to the side.

"Does she dance, or sing....?" Taehyung questioned curiously.

"She can play piano, I taught her myself." Yoongi stated as he touched his ear sheepishly.

"Really?" Taehyung's eyes widened with shock and amazement.

"Yes, ever since she could walk... I've always brought her to the studio with me."

"That's amazing, well I'd love for her to participate and show off her talent... I'm hosting it. It will be two Fridays from now... I hope that's enough notice..."

"Anything for DaeHee. I'll be here." Yoongi nodded his head. "I'd like to help out... you know, any way that I can. If its around class, or after hours or anything. I don't want to be THAT parent."

"Really? That would be great... here I'll give you my number so we can coordinate something that works with your schedule." Taehyung stated as he took a piece of paper and jotted down his number. "I know that DaeHee would enjoy getting to see you more around here, I can't say I'd mind either."

Yoongi's brow arched ever so slightly at the last part. Was Taehyung flirting with him? He was pretty sure that was exactly what that was. He smiled a bit at the teacher and took the piece of paper.

"I will definitely contact you ." Yoongi smiled as he stood up and bowed slightly. "It was really nice to meet you, Kim Taehyung."

"Likewise, Min Yoongi. Mind if I say goodbye....?" He asked nodding to DaeHee.

"Of course, not."

Taehyung stepped around the desk and moved to DaeHee, stooping down to her level. He smiled brightly at her, talking to her quietly for a minute before she stood up and gave him a big hug. Yoongi's insides flutter at the sight of this and he tried to calm his stomach from all the butterflies that were going off on the inside.

"Good-bye Taehyungie oppa!" DaeHee cheered brightly as she pulled away from her teacher.

"Have a good night, DaeHee... " Taehyung gave her a small wave as he stood up.

DaeHee took her father's hand and they both nodded to each other, "Thank you again, Taehyung-ssi."

"You as well." The teacher nodded his head as he watched the father-daughter duo walk out of his classroom. The smile on his face didn't falter. He had never found himself physically attracted to one of his student's parents before, but there was something about DaeHee's father that Taehung found himself enamored by him.

DaeHee adjusted her backpack on to her back as she walked out of the school hand-in-hand with her father. She smiled up at him, "Appa, I think that Taehyungie oppa likes you!" She squealed, her voice full of enthusiasm.

Yoongi looked at his daughter and arched a brow, "Oh? Why do you say that, Angel?"

"I just know." She smiled at him as he walked her out to the car.

Yoongi let out a little laugh and moved to the backseat of his car, moving to put her in to her booster seat and strapping her in safely. He climbed into the front seat and adjusted his mirror so that he could see her easily.

"So, about this talent show..." He decided to change the subject, at least a little bit.

The topic of the talent show made DaeHee squeal and she asked if she could perform and of course Yoongi told her that she could. This only caused the little girl to squeal even louder, clapping her hands excitedly. The rest of the ride home consisted of the two of them chatting about what she would play for the talent show.

There was nothing more important to him than seeing his daughter happy. Previous to his wife passing, he hadn't been able to be there for all the recitals and play dates. However, now that he was a single parent, he knew that he would have to sacrifice certain things to be the best father that he could be to her.

He was willing to do it and he knew that his friends were right there next to him, cheering him on and doing what they could to help out when they could. He was lucky and he liked to think that his late wife was watching over them every day.
