He was on cloud nine, to say the very least. It had been a long time since he had felt like this. He had been with his late wife since high school and honestly, he hadn't really been in many relationships before her. This was all new to him, but he knew that he felt that spark and that connection with Taehyung.
When they had parted ways that night, Taehyung had requested that Yoongi text him as soon as he was home safely. Yoongi did as requested. They had chatted until one of them passed out and Yoongi woke up the next morning with his phone laying on his chest and several notifications.
He had texts from Namjoon, Jin, Hoseok and Taehyung all making sure he was okay. Taehyung was asking how he was feeling that morning. Yoongi responded back to Taehyung before responding back to his friends, which he did as he slowly pulled himself out of bed. He didn't have any plans for the day and his parents were keeping DaeHee until later that night.
He received a text back from Taehyung and he couldn't stop himself from smiling like an idiot. He couldn't remember the last time he had felt like a little school boy crushing on someone this way. Yoongi knew that it probably wasn't the best idea, seeing as how Taehyung was his daughter's teacher, but you couldn't stop attraction.
You were attracted to what you were attracted to and honestly how anyone wasn't attracted to Taehyung - gay or straight - was completely beyond him. He decided to be a bit bold and asked Taehyung if he'd like to grab lunch with him and maybe they could hang out afterwards.
The response came within seconds and Yoongi was glad that he wasn't the only one that was interested. It was clear that Taehyung was into him, at least a little bit.
He was excited and honestly he couldn't wait to see the younger again. Yoongi got himself up, talked to his friends and let them know what was going on and that he did make it home last night. He listened to both Jin and Joon talk about Jungkook and how adorable and sweet he was and Seok gush about Jimin and how they had gone home together the night previous.
It was funny how Taehyung happened to be friends with Hoseok's crush - not just friends, but roommates. It was like it was all meant to happen. It just came together to perfectly not to be meant to be.
Did Yoongi believe in things like that? He wasn't really sure to be honest. He wasn't sure what to believe in anymore. He knew that he liked the way he felt when he was around Taehyung, but he didn't want to rush anything. He was going to take things slow and just see how things went.
After doing some things around the house, working on some music and then finally preparing himself for his lunch with Taehyung, Yoongi had to admit he was nervous. He felt like the first time he had taken DaeHee's mother out on a date. It was humorous to think that he could revert back to those ways, but it was true.
He had felt a pang of those anxieties last night when he had seen Taehyung behind Jimin and had felt a little anxious and shy, but he had a bit of alcohol so it certainly helped loosen him up. He wondered if he should do that now, but decided that it probably wasn't a good idea. Taehyung might get the wrong idea if he smelled alcohol on him this early in the afternoon.
