I wanted to kiss him too.

We got out of the fortress and saw Mike waiting outside.
"Sorry for interrupting you." Mike apologized.
"It's fine!" I said.
Richie didn't say anything, he just crossed his arms.
I elbowed his arm.
"Ow!" He shouted.
Mike asked us to keep it down
and walk around back,
ring the doorbell, and stay for dinner.
We agreed with the plan and did as he said.
Richie held my hand when I rang the doorbell.
I felt the warmth of his hand.
"Let go when they open the door." I whispered,
He frowned.
"Okay sweetness, but you're gonna have to make it up to me later."
He winked and kissed my hand.
Then the door opened.
The cold air blew against my empty hand when he let go.
"Yes, can I help you?" Mike's mother asked.
"Oh, yes! We are Mike's friends! Is it okay if we join you for dinner?" I asked her.
"Why of course! MIKE YOUR FRIENDS ARE HERE!
Come on in." She said as she opened the door.
We both walked in and saw everyone at the table.
They pulled out a chair for us and served the food.

-after dinner-

"Mrs. Wheeler I hope it's not too much to ask, but can I use your bath?
Ours broke and we haven't had anyone fix it yet." I asked her hoping she would say yes.
I haven't showered in a couple of days and felt really dirty.
"Yes, of course dear!" She said very kindly.
"Thank you so much!" I thanked her and headed to the bath.
I heard footsteps behind me and turned around.
Richie.
"Mind if I join you?" He asked.
I laughed and said.
"Yes, I mind."
He looked at me and came closer.
"Do you really mind?"
He whispered inches away from my face.
I blushed and looked away.
"Y-yes! Now let me wash up!" I whispered loudly.
He laughed and kissed my forehead.

"What ever you say gorgeous."
And he walked away.

My heart was beating so fast.
