The end of their academic dilemma finally ended. Yes. Second semester is finally over. What’s next then?
Although feeling unsure, Marge decided to tell everybody about her Mom’s invitation for the group to spend their summer vacation in their province – in Bicol.
No doubt, Bicol can offer almost everything for summer. There are bitches – I mean beaches all around the region; man-made resorts and sports complex for sun bathing, scuba diving and wakeboarding; hills and mountains for hiking, mountain climbing and rappelling.
There you can also spot various tourist destinations like ruins, caves, pilgrim sites and other places where you can witness the beauty of nature; but most of all, there are activities for volunteer and charity works.
“Like seriously?” Alyssa making sure of it.
“Hindi baks, nag-jo-joke lang ang mommy nya,” Mika annoyingly replied to Alyssa.
Alyssa furrowed as she stared on Mika. Mika stared back.
“I don’t think it’s a pun,” Marge uttered while serving the foods at the table.
Von immediately took a piece of fried chicken but Marge knocks it off and instructed to wait for the other foods to be served. Von half-heartedly behaved.
“What’s our plan now,” Thomas initiated a serious conversation.
Ara was enlightened. “Wow ah, you really are concern – achievement ‘to!”
Thomas rolled his eyes and ignored her, but Ara, the bully she was, continued to mock him as she tapped Thomas’ shoulder. Thomas, of course, nagged. “Ano ba?”
“Tumigil na nga kayo jan,” Mika scolded as she helped Marge prepare the foods.
Meanwhile, Jeric just arrived from school. He placed his bag at the sofa and immediately joined the group for dinner. Marge informed him about her Mom’s invitation and the group discussed it carefully while eating.
“I think that’s a great idea,” Jeric assumed.
Everybody except Marge appeared to agree with their Jeric.
“And we can bring some friends, right?” Mika eagerly asked Marge. Sinabayan pa ng pagpu-puppy eyes.
The others also gleamed with hope in their face.
Marge was left with no other option but to hesitantly replied with “Perhaps,”
Ara, Thomas, Von and Alyssa rejoiced after hearing that seemingly magic word.
Mika enthusiastically smiled as she grabbed a piece of sausage, “I’ll take that as a yes,”
Jeric then settled the conversation as everybody agreed.
“Okay,” Marge replied with less energy. “I’ll tell Mom tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow pa?” Alyssa immediately speculated.
“Hindi,” Marge infuriatingly answered. “Sa isang taon,”
“Why not call her now?” Mika fervently proposed as she looked at everybody.
Alyssa nodded, “Kung wala kang load, si Ara meron,”
“Wow ah, maka-volunteer lang?” Ara protested.
“Wag ka nang mag-damot, libre naman ang pagkain dun, bawi-bawi ka na lang pag may time,” Mika cheerfully claimed.
“I think it’s better to call her now para ma-maximize natin ang time,” Jeric blurted.
